The survivor in the alleged sexual assault case for which Canadian Olympian Nikolaj Sorensen was originally banned has come forward to me to publicly share her name. She is Ashley Foy, a former US ice dancer who now is a coach in the Netherlands. This is what she had to say:
Marco Fabbri in the mixed: I usually prefer Laurence and Guillaume, but tonight, Chock/Bates deserved it. (Charlene Guignard: I agree) #MilanoCortina2026
What an awful message the sport of figure skating just sent to sexual abuse survivors and victims, and parents and kids who want to participate in a safe sport. Column coming…
NBC fired Olympic gold medalist Gabriella Papadakis after her ground-breaking book “To Not Disappear” was published. Today she appears on a special edition of Milan Magic. This is one of the most important interviews I’ve ever done at the Olympics. https://t.co/OOlPBFjeb8
Congratulations Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron for being the world's first ice dance team to openly and proudly support notorious rapist Ni**laj Sorensen and still win the short program at the Olympic Winter Games. Truly an achievement for the ages!
@n0lancarney Yeah... but they really should have rejected Petrosian based on the eligibility criteria, IMO. One could argue it's harsh, but their own rules say you can't have associated in any way with someone serving a suspension due to doping, and Petrosian trained beside Valieva.
I will be donating all the proceeds for Rocker Gear this season to the USFS Family Support Fund that was just established for the families of the victims of the plane crash
Merch is here, if you are interested: https://t.co/pGdNrOEQIL
Can't believe they made Ilia do that. He's grieving and in shock and basically still a kid. But also @jaketapper shame on you for not doing your research before speaking to a grieving kid and not only butchering his name but calling him Aaliyah in an interview about a plane crash
Skating fam: I have a request
A major media outlet reached out to me to help with identifying friends of the victims, because they want to help tell the victims’ stories and celebrate their lives (rather than just having them be a name on a list)
If you were particularly close to any of them and you would like to speak to this outlet, can you DM me please?
What happens when the commentators say nothing and then the viewers are confused about the scores? It’s important for commentators to EDUCATE the viewers, this is a sport, not a pageant. It can be done in a positive manner, but to ignore mistakes is not the job of a commentator.
