Work is continuing nonstop in the village of Myla in the Kyiv region to address the aftermath of the Russian strike. First responders have managed to extinguish most of the fires. Explosive ordnance disposal units of the State Emergency Service are also working at the site around the clock, detecting and neutralizing explosive hazards. The scale of contamination in the area is significant, and this work will continue for as long as necessary. Tragically, 38 people have been reported killed by the strike and the subsequent detonation. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Twenty people were injured, including two children. Four people are reported missing. The search for them continues. I am grateful to all the services that remain there with our people and continue to help.
These days, there have also been many air raid alerts in Kyiv and other regions because of Russian jet-powered drones. Unfortunately, some of them have struck ordinary residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Providing greater protection against this Russian terror is a priority. In total, this week alone, the Russians have launched nearly 2,000 strike drones, more than 1,600 aerial bombs, and 31 missiles of various types, including North Korean ballistic missiles, against our people. Strikes on frontline and border communities are virtually constant – Nikopol, Kramatorsk, Kherson, and communities in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Sumy regions. We are seeking just responses to every Russian strike and crime. They will certainly come. Thank you to everyone who is helping strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and our protection.
🤡❗️Russia should openly bomb Ukrainian cities to demoralize the population and force them to surrender to Russian troops, — Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma Tolstoy.
"You think we're calling for cruelty? We're calling for demoralizing the population so much that they'll rise up to meet our troops."
Ukraine recognizes the Palestinian state.
Ukraine has sent thousands of tonnes of food aid to Palestinians while it was being invaded and bombed.
The Palestinian authority has an embassy in Kyiv.
The Palestinian authority has NOT sent Ukraine any words on its independence day.
And Palestinian supporters are blaming Ukraine (again) because Israel DID send congratulations and Zelensky thanked them.
russians destroyed towns and cities in territorial equivalent of 30 Gaza strips fyi, and we don’t even know the whole death toll because russia won’t let anyone to count the victims on occupied land
In Russia, they often highlight the USSR's victory in 1945 but ignore how Hitler and Stalin jointly started the war in 1939.
On this day in 1939, Nazi Germany and the USSR signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, secretly dividing Central and Eastern Europe between them.
2025: A Russian train driver from Rostov recounts how he carried out military transports from Matveyev Kurgan to Ukraine in 2014. He laughs as he recounts how the Russian army fought near Debaltseve (Ukraine) in February 2015, and not the famous "local separatists".

I’m a Ukrainian artist, and sometimes I don’t know how to explain what it feels like to keep making art while your home is being destroyed around you.
The fields, the sea, the places I grew up knowing — all of them exist alongside the reality of war now.
