@brodawest__ My suggestion is that you can call Mr. Jerry apologise and take ownership of your actions by accepting your fault and request he refunds the money for the two night stay, you can also offer him a special deal, like a discount on his next stay.
@brodawest__ You held on to Mr. Jerry's money unlawfully. You asked if he broke the vase, and he said no; in the absence of any logical proof, if you didn't present him with an audit before he moved in, you had no right to hold his money. He has also taken the right step to involve the court.
@brodawest__ I also think you have lost a returning customer and referrals because of a vase which you aren't sure he broke. This is also unfair to your business.
@brodawest__ You can either appeal the judgment in court or accept the court's judgement.
However, you just told your potential customers that if something breaks in any of your apartments, you will charge them, even if it wasn't by them. I think you are potentially harming your business.
