As promised, I will NOT let you rest until you start doing your job. I will use all resources at my disposal to make you give account and take your job seriously.

Year after year, budget after budget, we have heard the same recycled lies, “the roads have been captured.” Yet from Ota to Itele, from Lafenwa to Sango, Agbado Adiyan Gasline, Akute Lambe, Lafenwa, etc, what we see is not progress, it is pain. Roads that should carry dreams now swallow lives, choke businesses, and bury any hope of dignity in daily living.

This isn’t just a failure of infrastructure like I said, It is a failure of leadership. A betrayal, repeated with every fiscal cycle, where line items become ghost promises and citizens are treated as statistics, not humans.

Now, with the 2026 budget in sight, we are being told, once again, that our roads are “captured.” But this time, we are not clapping. We are not grateful for what is already our right. We are not impressed by vague assurances.

We are demanding answers. And we will not stop asking until the lies rot under the weight of truth.

Mr. Governor,

For years, you have remained silent while the people groaned under the weight of collapsed roads.

You speak of development, yet development has skipped our communities. You speak of progress, yet we drive through potholes deeper than your promises.

So, with the full force of the people’s voice behind this message, we ask you to respond publicly and clearly to the following:

✅ What exact sum has been allocated in the 2026 Ogun State Budget for the construction and completion of the Ota-Itele-Lafenwa Road, Agbado, Adiyan Gasline, Idi-Iroko, Sagamu-Ijebu Ode, Akute- Lambe, Sango-Ijoko/Oju Ore roads?
✅ Under what ministry, project subhead, and line item is this captured? What is the project code?
✅ What is the timeline for execution, start to finish?
✅ Which contractors or firms have been awarded this project, and what is the contract value?
✅ How much has been allocated for road infrastructure across Ifo-Sango Ota-Idiroko axis?

We are citizens.

Until you publish these figures, expose the contracts, and lay bare the timelines, we will consider your words as nothing more than the latest chapter in a book of unkept promises.

I do not speak for a party. I speak for the streets that bleed, the traders who struggle, the commuters who suffer, and the children who grow up thinking pain is normal.

The days of silence are over.
The era of unanswered questions is dead.
The people are awake. And this time, we will not be ignored.

We demand governance, not grandstanding.
We demand transparency, not ceremony.
We demand roads, not rhetoric.

Show the workings. Or step aside.
