One of many incidents that Russian propaganda desperately tries to hide.
In March 2014 in Donetsk, Russian "tourists" mixed up the flags and tried to burn the flag of FC Shakhtar Donetsk - the most popular and beloved club across the entire Donbas region.
The funny thing is they couldn't burn it.
Watch the video to see their awkward attempt and hear what real Donetsk residents said about it the next day.
As someone born and raised in Donbas, I never met a single person who didn’t know Shakhtar. Almost everyone in the region followed the team passionately and went absolutely crazy with joy when we won the UEFA Cup.
This is exactly why Kremlin media and their local collaborators always silence this story. It completely destroys the myth that these "protests" were organized by locals.
It reminds me of the April 2014 incident in Kharkiv, when Russian "tourists" confused the buildings and stormed a theater instead of the regional administration headquarters. Russian propaganda stays silent about that one too.
Yet pro-Russian trolls still come to tell us - actual Donbas residents - that "it was all organized by locals", not by Russians.
Kherson. I’m running out of words.
The world keeps silently watching the mass killing of Ukrainians, as if it’s happening far away — as if it isn’t real.
But it’s not. It’s Europe. It’s 2026. Not a movie.
Real lives are being erased every single day.
Elon Musk said that if anyone had actually died because of USAID cuts, their names would be worldwide headline news. Lauren Dobson-Hughes wrote them down.
Jane. Nine years old. Kenya. Died of starvation in a refugee camp after food rations were cut to 40% of daily caloric needs. Her mother Rovina watched her develop fever, diarrhea, a skin rash, wounds across her whole body. Documented by Dr. Atul Gawande of Harvard.
Yagana Bulama's twin in Nigeria. Six months old. Died two weeks after the Mercy Corps severe malnutrition program lost its USAID funding. Yagana had already buried three babies.
Nada, eighteen months, and Omer, three years old. Sudan. Their mother Fatma lost them both after the soup kitchen providing their one meal a day ran out of food. Omer loved wrestling and dreamed of owning a bike.
Mohammed Hashim, two years old. Myanmar. His father Mohammed Taher held him as he died of malnutrition. The food rations stopped when USAID was cut. "I lost my son because of the funding cuts," his father said.
Shahnaz and her newborn baby girl. Afghanistan. She died delivering on the side of a dirt road after the USAID clinic was closed. The baby died shortly after. Abdul covered the baby's grave in thorns to stop animals digging it up.
Joseph, Gift, and Alumbwe. Seventeen, fifteen, and twelve years old. Zambia. They lost both parents to AIDS when antiretroviral supplies ended. Joseph dropped out of school to care for his brothers. They sleep on a shared mat. They eat once a day. Joseph wants to be a doctor.
Musk said the names would be worldwide headline news if they existed. The names existed.
⚡️Early in the morning, 🇺🇦Ukrainian drones struck the "Mayak" military factory in Penza, Russia
OAO “Mayak” (the Penza “Mayak” Plant) is a defense contractor that specializes in the production of radio-electronic equipment, control devices, communications systems, and military-grade products.
💔 Kherson. In Ukraine, simply taking a bus can get you killed by russia.
This has been the reality of life in Ukraine for over four years—ignored by the world.
Ukrainian drones attacked hangars housing Russian fighter jets at Saki Air Base in Crimea.
According to the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine), drones struck hangars containing aircraft equipment five times.
Two of the hangars housed Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets. A fire was reported in one of the hangars following the attacks, suggesting damage to or destruction of the equipment.
Don't fall for Elon Musk's gaslighting.
There is a massive, life-or-death difference between well-planned budget cuts and a sudden, reckless halt to promised medical aid.
Musk is actively lying about the fatal consequences of his USAID cuts. The US is not obligated to fund healthcare for the entire planet, but if a nation decides to pull back its global aid, it must be done responsibly. Ripping away funding mid-treatment means you are directly responsible for the preventable deaths that follow.
Instead of owning up to the fallout, Musk is flooding X with dishonest spin. He first challenged critics to name even one person whose death he caused. When people actually did, he immediately moved the goalposts, claiming that any spending cut inevitably causes deaths.
He is a dishonest charlatan trying to hide the fact that his chaotic decisions got thousands of vulnerable children and adults killed. That will be his lasting legacy
“The Trump administration is demanding that American intelligence officials turn over the names of all foreign espionage targets, including suspected spies and potential recruits, to create a master list that some officials fear will be misused or compromise operations, according to people familiar with the matter.” https://t.co/g1FC3sXvJd
Education system in Russia: sewing underpants for soldiers instead of studying.
In Izhevsk, girls in the 5th and 6th grades were gathered in a children's group called "Igolochka" ("Little Needle") to sew underwear for the front line.
Without pay.
During school hours.
The children are 10–12 years old.
❗️Cars in Russia are breaking down due to poor-quality gasoline, with drivers reporting a surge in Check Engine warnings
The issue is linked to low-grade Euro-3 fuel, which is appearing at more and more gas stations across the country.
Owners of Chinese cars are especially at risk, as their turbocharged engines and direct fuel injection systems are particularly sensitive to low-quality fuel.
🚲 At this rate, a bicycle might soon become the most reliable mode of transport in Russia.
❗️Due to the fuel shortage in Crimea, the work of local farms has completely stopped. The entire harvest is at risk, - Ukraine Context
And so, everything is going strictly according to schedule, according to plan. All tasks will be completed.
Following the destruction of the Dubna Space Communications Center outside Moscow, Ukraine has struck the Vladimir satellite uplink center. Of the five comms centers managed by Russia's space communications company--two are now destroyed. Three to go.
💔🕯️A man cries over his niece, who was killed in a Russian strike on Kharkiv.
According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the victim was Fatima, a young woman who received her university diploma today. A torn graduation cap lay near her body.

Why is reporting on russians in fuel queues more important than reporting on the daily killing of Ukrainians?
Today alone, at least 10 civilians have been killed.
This is the reality in Ukraine.
Why isn't this leading every headline?
💔📽 This is Zaporizhzhia. Right now.
23-year-old Ukrainian POW Bohdan Trofimiuk was tortured so brutally in russian captivity that he can no longer walk.
Captured at 19 while defending Mariupol and Azovstal, he was beaten into a coma during a brutal "reception" in prison, left permanently disabled, and denied medical care.
Instead of being released or treated, he was put through a sham "terrorism" trial. russia sentenced him to 16 years in a maximum-security prison simply for defending his country.
This is not justice. It is a grave violation of international law.
russia systematically tortures Ukrainian POWs and then prosecutes them for "terrorism" simply because they served in Ukraine's Armed Forces—in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions.
The world must know his name.
Bohdan Trofimiuk is the face of russian barbarity.
