So the hand hygiene, the respiratory etiquette, cleaning, were all part of standard precautions. So why do people feel they need to relearn these, they are not stand alone for Covid they should have been embedded in daily activities- I hope they will be in the future 🤞🤞
Everyone has made mistakes in the pandemic, from frontline staff to politicians. As lockdown eases, the burden is on the government to prove it’s safe for schools, factories & workplaces to reopen. There is no such thing as zero risk, just sensible data-driven risk management.
Happy International Nurses’ Day folks
💙 👩⚕️ 💙🌈 sending huge love to all of my colleagues in A&Es, ITUs, community and the remote services still working so hard!!❤️ @IPCHRCH @HRCH_NHS #InternationalNursesDay
So true-every person, unit, ward, division, commnty etc makes the wheel turn. Its not just 1 or 2 wards/units but the whole of health and social care together that enables the wheel to turn whatever role, background. Each and every one of you is valued.
@JoanneReynard Exactly!!! The guidance is there but not being read fully or taken in! Plus the clinical staff need to take responsibility for ensuring correct use of PPE in non-clinical colleagues, inform and educate! I am finding this an issue!
@gallagher_rose Fully agree Rose. Despite the guidance coming out staff are panicking wanting masks for all contact, and even worse patients are starting to request it. Battling to conserve PPE stock and promote safe/sensible use!!
Storage of wipes:please ensure all wipes, especially the green packs, have the lids closed when not in use! Check store rooms, drawers etc and ensure that none have dried out and go to waste. Store green packs on their side to ensure they stay moist! #respectoursupplies @HRCH_NHS
Staff please keep an eye on the daily Comms coming out, yesterday’s contained the SOP to support community teams. Alot of teams have the same concerns, weare dealing with as many queries as possible so please bear with us. #communitynursing#inittogether @HRCH_NHS @IPCHRCH#COVID
Staff please note: the order code for the soap in the hand hygiene packs has changed from the company! Check the Comms Bulletin this week for details of new codes. Some new products have no pics! @IPCHRCH @HRCH_NHS #handhygiene#communitycare
We do not need any new product either for #handhygiene or for #environmental hygiene of surfaces to fight #COVID19 We simply need optimal behaviour with the products currently available And tentatively creating a demand for a new product is incorrect behaviour
The @IPCHRCH will be holding our regular IPC roadshow/info stand at Teddington Memorial Hospital, tomorrow feb 18th at 10am in the entrance lobby. Please pop by to say hello! @HRCH_NHS @fionaharcombe @lamb_donna #infectioncontrol#communityhealthcare
@lamb_donna @GreatOrmondSt @HRCH_NHS Thanks Donna, we are currently working on it and raise awareness at ICLP meetings, level 1&2 sessions, roadshows and training sessions. Started work on a plan to expand this with therapies..watch this space👍🏻🧤 @IPCHRCH#gloveawareness
@gallagher_rose@theRCN I would be very keen to attend this event as it is something we are working very hard on. Currently on the waiting list, keeping fingers crossed a place opens up! Well done on continuing such good work Rose. 🧤 @Jen_Mor1
#FlorenceNightingale wrote in 1878 “keep no patient in hospital a day longer than is absolutely necessary. The patient may have to recover not only from illness or injury but from hospital” She developed @TheQNI now the oldest nursing charity in the world. https://t.co/qaYCTPqbLI
Great video shared by our Assistant director of Estates, nice to see everyone is becoming more aware and sharing info with each other! Great work @GreatOrmondSt on helping the planet and changing perspectives 👍🏻 https://t.co/O4rUj3aDnt #gloveuse#savetheplanet#whatcanyoudo
Check out the latest #IPCPrompt on the comms bulletin this week! Please remember good hand hygiene with soap and water, the hygienic hand foam/gel is ineffective against D&V bugs! #norovirusseason#handhygiene@IPCHRCH @HRCH_NHS
Thank you everyone! What an amazing response to the #itsinthebag campaign.90 bags were dropped off tonight. Lives will be made a little brighter this Christmas! Well done everyone
