The IPCOR Registry & Biorepository is building on one of the most comprehensive prostate cancer datasets in Europe.
By combining clinical insight with lived experience, IPCOR 2 is guiding smarter, more equitable prostate cancer care—at home and internationally.
How do men really feel during prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment?
IPCOR is one of the few registries in the world capturing PROMs at multiple time points to assess real-world quality of life.
By listening to men’s experiences, we hope to enable more patient-centred care.
Ireland’s Rapid Access Prostate Clinics (RAPCs) were introduced in 2009 for men at risk.
The impact? Earlier diagnosis
But challenges remain: GP referral gaps, location and capacity.
IPCOR data shows it’s working, but we need to strengthen and scale the system.
IPCOR data shows that inequalities in PSA screening are a critical concern.
Men in urban areas are 34% more likely to be diagnosed than those in rural areas.
Disparities matter. IPCOR is committed to using real-world data to spotlight gaps and drive fairer systems of care.
1 in 6 men in Ireland will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Prostate is a small gland below the bladder that produces seminal fluid. Changes can be an early warning sign of cancer.
If you notice any of these symptoms, speak to your GP. Early detection can save lives!
