@f755392862594fe@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS Regardless, Happ will probably be in the lineup consistently until Shaw comes back. After the season, if the choice comes down to signing him or Suzuki, it's Suzuki
@capihood@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS I remember his first two years in the league, K's were a big issue for him, but since 2022 he's made major strides in getting it to league average
He hit for more power than usual for the first couple months but yeah it's been gone for a while now
@f755392862594fe@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS Unfortunately, Conforto and Taylor aren't much better options as consistent starters but I hope Happ gets a couple days off. Maybe that'll help him, but this team needs him to figure it out fast
@capihood@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS It's worked for a couple other guys in the past, so I hope that happens with Happ.
I'm not sure why the strikeout rate has jumped for him this year after being very consistent the last 4 years, but he has to get it down from 31%
@capihood@Cubs@WatchMarquee@MotorolaUS He needs at least one full day off (no PH) in my opinion. He's struggled before but he hasn't looked this bad since the first half of 2021
