Huge thanks to the @ISBE2024 organizers for an amazing event! Incredible talks, great people, and a wonderful community! Goodbye, #ISBE2024 - time to get back to reality (and cut down on caffeine ☕)
If you are curious to hear about a cool 9-month behavioural experiment, involving hundreds of techno-sparrows, barcode vests, elaborate video recording systems, 3D printing... visit our lecture at the upcoming #Behaviour2023 conference in Bielefeld, Germany. 1/4
We are about to start a new chapter of our research. Beside being super excited, we are grateful to @LucyMAplin, @AlarconNietoG and @evogom for sharing their resources, knowledge and experience - and hope to return the favor soon!
This group is one of 25 currently active groups within the Arabian Babblers Research Project, an ongoing five-decade study of various aspects of biology and ecology of these amazing birds. May science prosper from the presence of both of them and may they be free of parasites!
Today we have established a new group of #Arabianbabblers in the Sheizaf Nature Reserve, Israel, as part of the Arabian Babblers Research Project. The name of the group is Tasha, as is of one of the female birds.
Supposedly, Tasha is an old Hebrew name, but in full honesty the group is named after a dear friend and fellow biologist, Dr Tamara Spasojević. Like the members of the group, Tamara is a gentle and friendly barbarian with mild temper and curious personality.
