@lowwintersun@RobertHamnett Usually, although when there's a really dry spell in summer then it does dry up. A neighbour has said they have an underground spring and they're slightly higher up. It overflows when we get a lot of rain. I haven't seen much local history about it, but I'd love to know more.
Someone in Glossop did a lovely job dressing our well. Apparently it used to be cared for by someone who is no longer with us, so I'm so pleased to see someone taking it on.
@MancLibraries Since changing devices I've been unable to access my account and even after changing my password several times I get an error message. Is there an email address I can use to request more support? I can't find anything on the website. Thanks!
Just released - The Oxford Handbook of International Studies Pedagogy https://t.co/ROgr0x6DKu
Proud to co-edit this with Heather Smith and Mark Boyer. So many wonderful contributions from colleagues near and far. Check it out.
After almost 5 years (!) The Oxford Handbook of International Studies Pedagogy is out, including my chapter: Teaching International Studies through Folklore and Fairy Tales. Working with Heather Smith, Mark Boyer, & David Hornsby was a delight!

14. You don't have to offer an opinion on everything. It is ok to want time to reflect.
15. You don't have to think everyone's work is good/bad, you also don't have to tell everyone what you think of their work. Be kind. Be constructive (yes--I repeated it)!
I know I should ignore *that tweet*, but I also know conferences are intimidating to a lot of people, exhausting to some, and not always accessible. Things that worked for me:
13. Remember to do the basics: eat regularly, try to sleep on a regular schedule, don't drink more caffeine or alcohol than usual, take breaks. Conferences can be scheduled over long days to maximise participants, it is ok to have boundaries and take care of yourself.
