Much of the opposition to AI data centers is being funded by foreign actors.
Chief among them is Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, who has given nearly $14 million to four left-wing groups that signed a letter calling for a US data center moratorium.
President Trump just gets it. Watch as he explains why energy dominance is so critical to winning the global AI race:
“Without it, you cannot win. As an example, AI is a big deal. Whether we like it or don't like it, it'll be amazing in many ways. For medicine, it will be amazing. Without massive amounts of energy, you can't even play the game.”
Even with the temporary oil price spike from the Iran conflict, @SecretaryWright makes clear that the REAL threat to energy prices is Democrats' "green" energy policies:
"They have driven up energy prices far more than a conflict in Iran."
Excellent points from @SecretaryWright on the importance of coal and why America would be foolish to disregard it:
"No coal, no modern world. Without clean, beautiful coal, the modern world is impossible. We saw 17 years ago, with President Obama's election, an all-out attack on the American coal industry—the industry that built our nation. We would not have the buildings, factories, industry, or electricity grid we have today without the critical contribution of coal."
President Trump goes OFF on wind energy and touts his administration’s work unleashing American energy, including clean, beautiful coal:
"If you look at so many of the successful countries, they are using coal. If you are looking at some of the real great failures, those countries are using wind, which keeps blowing and blowing and puts you right out of business. Very expensive. The most expensive energy that there is."
Simple but important point from Chevron's Mike Wirth to @TannerFoust:
"Reliable energy underpins the stability and lifestyle we take for granted."
We only realize how much we depend on energy when it's gone — like after a hurricane. Yet the climate cult seeks this same end, only through restricting energy via regulations and mandates.
The climate cult will blame anything on climate change, now pointing to a Japanese samurai horse festival being moved to spring as proof.
Ridiculous. It's summer. Be thankful humans have learned to adapt and that we have carbon-powered AC to keep us cool.
Climate lawfare makes energy more expensive and leads to less energy investment, as investors become spooked by the lack of reliability needed for multi-year energy projects.
REMEMBER: More lawsuits = more uncertainty = less investment = less energy = higher prices.
Good reminder that while climate lawfare in Louisiana may seem far away from many people, this model is being used across the country with NATIONWIDE effects.
As @LouisianaOilGas’s Mike Moncla correctly notes, climate lawsuits are pure money grabs.https://t.co/jE3XzyuqkY
Really important testimony from @LouisianaOilGas’s Mike Moncla on why Louisiana must end climate lawfare against American energy producers. ⬇️
“These climate suits are just money grabs out to do the same as coastal suits: decimate our industry.”
The UN backed away from RCP 8.5, but the regulatory machine built on it keeps running, choking off investment in energy.
It's time to bury that machine and restore banks, insurers, and energy producers to the discipline of real markets/science.
My latest for @DailySignal. 👇
Yesterday he had freedom, today no freedom. That’s #NetZero. @TheAthletic article doesn’t mention it, but this controversy is about selling Green New Scam carbon credits. He got caught and the @NBA is caught in it too. Finally, some Environmental Justice. https://t.co/RbS8M89DwA
See our full @4AmericanEnergy report to learn more about how this foreign influence campaign is FAR from being grassroots.
It's foreign-funded through and through. 👇

On top of a potential Chinese connection, foreign-funded anti-data center activism from other sources is well documented.
Our groundbreaking report names just a few culprits: foreign actors/firms based in Switzerland, the UK, and Denmark.
Of course, there are valid concerns about AI data centers. But that misses the point.
Much of the concern is NOT organic. Instead, it's part of an emotional manipulation campaign funded by left-leaning organizations and foreign actors to turn public opinion against AI.
Climate doomerism, built on the now-backtracked RCP 8.5 scenario, has scared a generation out of having children.
As @bethanyshondark notes, climate anxiety became “fashionable and morally valorized,” contributing to falling birth rates and a childless, anxious generation.
Great to join @GordonGChang on @FoxNews yesterday to highlight how foreign billionaires are funding left-wing groups to undermine AI data centers, American energy, and critical AI innovation.
AI is a net good for the US. Foreign money should NOT be used to undermine it.
Looking forward to talking with @BryanLlenas, anchor, and @ISAACforEnergy, fellow guest, at 4:40 ET on @FoxNews. We’ll be talking about China funding opposition to American data centers. Please watch.
Great to join @StacyOnTheRight to talk about the high-carbon lifestyle.
We also discussed an important point about expanding energy dominance and producing medical isotopes through small modular reactors being developed by companies like @oklo. ⬇️
Whether evidence exists that China is working to undermine our AI interests misses the point.
There is already clear foreign influence happening. 👇

Not surprising that @washingtonpost is downplaying the very obvious foreign influence threat on AI.
But what is 100% clear from our @4AmericanEnergy report is that there is an ongoing foreign influence campaign from foundations and individuals based abroad.
Even more damning, we have the specific donors and foundation names:
🚨 Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss
🚨 British hedge fund manager Chris Hohn
🚨 UK-based Quadrature Climate Foundation
🚨 Denmark-based KR Foundation
🚨 UK-based Oak Foundation
