Flagship event of Indian Steel Association (@steel_indian), ISA Steel Conclave, looks forward to creating the premier platform for the entire #steel ecosystem
In the steel industry, waste is not an option. Nearly 100% of co-products from steelmaking are repurposed like slag for cement and roads, used oils for reduction processes, and process gases for energy generation. Even dust and sludge are recovered to extract zinc and iron oxides.
This level of resource efficiency is not only good for the planet and it also lowers industrial costs and increases sustainability. Steel’s circular economy model proves that progress and responsibility can go hand in hand. It’s not just about strength, it’s about stewardship.

Remanufactured steel products are smart, efficient, and economical, costing 25–50% less and saving up to 80% of the energy used in production. With about 30% of new steel made from recycled material, the steel we use today becomes tomorrow’s bridges, trains, and buildings.
This isn’t just recycling, it’s a system that conserves resources, cuts emissions, and keeps value flowing. Remanufactured steel empowers a future that’s strong, circular, and conscious.

Steel is the invisible force behind India’s digital transformation. Every data centre, fibre grid, and cloud facility is rooted in structural steel - from server racks to cooling units and high-security vaults.
As India scales up its Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), steel ensures that our data stays secure, our networks remain fast, and our ambitions stay limitless. In a world where “data is the new oil,” steel is the pipeline that powers our access to knowledge, connectivity, and opportunity, building a smarter, stronger, and more digital India.

Steel remains unregulated - responsibility lies with manufacturers to push decarbonised production. Green steel adoption in the short & medium term is still limited: Sanjay Kumar Sinha,

Proud moment at #SteelConclave2025!
ISA President Naveen Jindal urged urgent action on key growth drivers-raw material security, cutting coking coal imports & slashing freight costs.
Will India’s steel industry rise to the challenge?

Shri Piyush Goyal (@PiyushGoyal), while addressing the 6th ISA Steel Conclave, focused on decarbonisation, CCUS, reducing steel-making pollution and generating more job opportunities while also reaching towards the global steel per capita average.

One of the key takeaways from the 6th Edition of Steel Conclave that, since we are the second largest producer and consumer of steel, but we have a long way to go for the vision of Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat 2047.
Indian Steel Association (@steel_indian) is grateful to welcome the Union Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, to the Day 2 valedictory session of the 6th Edition of ISA Steel Conclave.
So all the plants which were in PAC scheme will be now in CCTS. And these people will benefit not only with the domestic market but also, for example, like CBAM. Kind of things are coming, so.
