ActionAid Nigeria and its partners (NLC, CISLAC, BUDGIT, IMPACT BRIDGE, CSJ, Centre LSD, Plan International) are currently convening a press conference to present a collective civil society position on Nigeria’s economic and fiscal environments and impact on the people, especially the vulnerable Nigerians.
The conference highlights growing concerns on:
• Budget Integrity
• Public Debt Sustainability, including recently approved external loans totalling over $6 billion
• Capital Expenditure Performance
• Broader Concerns around Fiscal Responsibility and Compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act (2007)
• Overall Fiscal Discipline
A detailed factual position paper is being presented. It outlines the risks associated with current fiscal practices and proposing accountability measures.

#ISIPL#Impact
At ISIPL, our mission is to strengthen institutions so policies translate into measurable public value.
That requires disciplined reflection, evidence-based decision-making, and institutional learning.
Rest is not a pause from leadership, it is part of it.
For leaders working in complex systems, reflection creates clarity, alignment strengthens direction, and renewal sustains impact.
Taking time to step back is how better decisions are made and stronger institutions are built.
