Maeve then turned off their call as she was focusing on waving her hand towards Reiner. "Reineer!" Would he hear her?

The sky was dark, and she just bid her farewell with her girlies. They had to go back home, and so did she. Reiner was waiting, and she swore to God that male had zero patience when it came to waiting for her. Endless calls and messages. At first, she found it annoying.

"I really want to go home and eat some hot chocolate with marshmallows." Just her favourite. "Or matcha. Can I have both?"

She knew the place. It was the second crossroads from his place. A huge one. There were usually a lot of people there, but not tonight. Did she leave too late? It's weird how the place turned into a dead place.

"I think," Maeve added more speed to her steps as her heart beat faster every second. The worst scenarios she had inside her head kept on playing on repeat as if it were trying to tell her what the future would bring.
