The Philippines is a beautiful country with wonderful culture, tasty cuisine and unique beliefs although some beliefs aren't that pleasant.
For example, have you ever heard of these lines❓
"Edi wow!", "Ikaw na magaling!" & "Ikaw na!" —
—These are examples of "Smart Shaming"🙅🏻♀️, It is a common trait today. Let's help each other overcome this unfriendly trait and help spread awareness. Táyo-Tayô!✨ is an event that happens from year to year, it is meant to tackle—

We would like to cordially invite everyone to a dotmocracy scrapbook as part of the “Tayo, Tayo!” event. In this space, everyone is given an opportunity to share their experiences and thoughts regarding the different and common toxic Filipino—
—cultures and mentalities. Through a dotmocracy vote, everyone can give out their insights about these social issues. 💠
You may find the booth in the MRR Mezzanine (2nd-floor Lobby). This will be running from March 27th to April 21st, 2023. 🗓️—

Hey Lasallians! 👋🏻
It’s been over a century since the Philippines was declared an independent country, yet Filipinos still struggle to overcome beliefs stemming from colonization—one of those being xenocentrism. The tendency to glorify other cultures over our own is still (1/3)
evident in the present; teaching English as children’s first language rather than our mother tongue, and conforming to western beauty standards instead of embracing our Filipino heritage are only a few instances. (2/3)
