The @EdinDogCatHome is fighting to survive. Please text 70450 to donate £10. Both my boys were adopted from there so it's a charity very close to my heart. We cant let it go under. 🙏
Benefit fraud, which is tiny, is said to be a scourge which must be crushed. But straight corruption involving public bodies, politicians and their cronies is just fine.
When leaders like Starmer blather on about “tough choices”, why is it *always* code for hitting some of the poorest hardest? Where’s the “tough choice” of a wealth tax on the super-rich? Why do shivering pensioners have to pay the price for “fixing the foundations”? #bbclaurak
Notice the strange "of Turkish origin" qualifier here.
Why put that unnecessary detail in the headline if not to poison the well and suggest that it is not as significant as if Israel killed a "real American"?
They were forced out of their homes at gun point and then had their homes bombed as they watched.
I know, I was there and spoke with- still speaking with the families.

Over a third polled believe that xenophobic acts of violence are defensible if they result in fewer refugees settling in their town.
Decades of institutional xenophobia in our media & politics have led to the absolute dehumanisation of refugees.
What have we become? For shame.
Why does it not horrify the entire world how underreported the death toll in Gaza is? How it jumped from 40,000 to 186,000? That it took Israel only 10 months to wipe out 8% of Gazas population…
Translation: if the rightwing papers kick up a fuss about efforts to address racism, sexism, transphobia or homophobia, Labour should be willing to ditch those minority groups at a moment's notice.
What was expected to be a difficult night for the SNP now looks set to be cataclysmic!
Blaming voters, or doing anything other than serious self reflection is precisely the kind of attitude that has turned so many away from the SNP
