@Themikewhojones@big_business_ You make valid points. But the way I see it, Breeze and Kanan know Marqutti wanna take shots at Raq. Easy way to get a revenge kill and the place it on Raq’s enemy. If that was a defining moment in Kanan because who we knew him to be, he ain’t letting that shit slide
@ByJayClemons And I’m not saying Ron is ass. He just has antics I don’t like (which comes with growth). I just don’t see him as a 20+ ppg scorer in the league. If we can move him for one, I’ll happily take it. But let’s see what happens. He may prove me wrong
@ByJayClemons Ron Holland is not what y’all think. The same shit was said about Killian Hayes and Seykou Dumboya. Get a work in progress out for a player who has already found his identity and fits the win now narrative. Besides, Detroit continuing successful runs mean those picks aren’t shit
@charismax111@DamienPetersNBA No. I responded to someone else saying the cba needs to change the criteria for restored contracts. I simply explained why it doesn’t need changing. You replied that it’s not good for anything. I explained why it is. What are you missing?
@charismax111@DamienPetersNBA You pay those who earn it. If he was a super max player (like he believes he is) he would get paid like it. Giannis, Bam, Luka, D. Book, just to name a few got the contracts they deserved. If he were super max worthy, he’d get the super max.
@charismax111@DamienPetersNBA You missed it.
The purpose of teams who own bird rights is to be able to offer significantly higher contracts in order to keep them from wanting to go to another franchise.
While the Pistons CAN offer him a super max, the WON’T nor SHOULDN’T because he hasn’t earned it
@charismax111@DamienPetersNBA But because he didn’t, we’ll match another team’s match… because that’s his worth (as of now). You get contracts based on what you DID and the expectation that you’ll continue doing it. Duren hasn’t done anything to suggest he earned the super max we can give
@charismax111@DamienPetersNBA You’re looking at it from the perspective of a player, which is fine. But as an organization that picked him and is responsible for developing him, they control the current climate. Had he performed, Pistons wouldn’t have any issue offering the super max
@DamienPetersNBA Not to mention, the pistons made comments on duren before this season stating he was under performing. Yes, Duren was an allstar this last season. But he went ghost in the playoffs.
You don’t get Supermax money for 3 mediocre years, 1 all-star season and a ghost playoffs
@DamienPetersNBA No. You have a level of biased. Allowing the team that drafted you to offer you a significantly higher contract than other teams is good for balance. If a really good player is drafted by a small market team, this allows for that team to maintain a chance of having big names.
