There are rumors going around that if the Indiana Fever don’t re-sign Sophie Cunningham, other teams want to try and keep her out of the WNBA, I will lose a tremendous amount of respect for the Fever and any remaining respect I have for this league.
You’re telling me you would try to silence one of the best things that has happened to your league in years? A player who brought attention, energy, personality, fans, and helped sell seats and market your league?
And all because she chose to stand up for girls and women and speak her mind about protecting women’s sports?
If that’s truly the reason, then you’re not standing for inclusion, you’re standing for censorship.
You don’t have to agree with her. You don’t even have to like what she says. But trying to punish someone because they had the courage to stand up for what they believe in is something completely different.
If the WNBA pushes away someone who helped bring so much attention to the league simply because she refuses to stay quiet, that would be cowardly. And I don’t think I would be the only person who loses respect for the league because of it.
Zendaya and Jacob Elordi are suddenly at the center of cheating rumors after a viral concert clip. 😬 Now people are dragging Tom Holland into it too — but is any of it actually real?
I saw the clip of Oba Femi getting pissed off when Bronson Reed put his foot on him after The Vision beat down. If this was twenty years ago and Oba broke kayfabe and hit me in the leg, I would've beat the shit out him for real to protect the business and Vince would've approved.
EXCLUSIVE: Former NBA first-round pick Royce White says he's declaring for the 2027 WNBA Draft, claiming he now identifies as transgender for the purpose of playing professional basketball.
The 6-foot-8 former Houston Rockets draft pick follows fellow former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom, who announced his own plans to declare amid the growing debate over transgender athletes in women's sports.
White told Fox News Digital he believes he'd be "unstoppable" in the WNBA and suggested he could pursue legal action if denied an opportunity to play.
White said the move is meant to challenge the WNBA to clearly define its eligibility rules for transgender athletes, saying: "I'd like to know what the parameters are."
