It’s Clive Allen’s birthday. You remember him.
Scored this sublime shitfizzer of a volley, on his weaker foot, in the pissing rain, in front of 800 people in the 1992 Anglo-Italian Cup.
Glory days.
Absolutely shocking from us today. Awful performance. Nuno got the starting 11 wrong AGAIN but players have to take responsibility on the pitch. Gave them two goals with absolutely awful defending. We deserve to be relegated.
On this day in 2016 West Ham beat Manchester United 3-2 at Upton Park in front of 34,602.
Diafra Sakho, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid scored the goals.
This was the last match to be played at the Boleyn Ground.
It’s so easy to sit there and look for reasons as to why we are where we are but the bottom line is, we’ve simply not been good enough or consistent enough. We’ll all clutch at straws and go down the conspiracy theory route but the truth is, the damage was done a long time ago. Things have massively improved from January but the mountain we left ourselves to climb is the reason for it.
In truth, it stretches back as far as the final 5 months from Moyes’ reign. It’s absolutely not Moyes’ fault because we’ve had so much time and 3 managers since but it should’ve been fixed from above way before now. Lopetegui and Potter were an absolute shambles and have completely played their part in destroying the club.
The owners have got virtually every single decision wrong, on and off the pitch. Recruitment has been done blind. Training facilities are still synonymous with a L2 level club. We’ve got some absolutely wonderful players at the club but that’s all they are. A group of individuals that Nuno has finally turned into a team but we’ve fast run out of time. The transformation he’s made will fully go under the radar because ultimately, it hasn’t kept us up but for the state he inherited this squad, I can’t believe it’s taken me until May to write this.
Really not sure what the future holds for the club. I welcome the possibility of a full club reset but it has to start at the top. Sullivan must go, Kretinsky must go, The Gold Family must go and Tripp-Smith must go. Club finances are absolutely in the bin and if we don’t get it right, it really could be the beginning of the end. There’s a lot of players I can’t wait to see the back of but a select few I’m going to be gutted with.
The most painful thing is after Prague, everything felt incredible. It finally felt like that new dawn we’d be waiting for. But it was all squandered and allowed to fizzle out. A day after we won that final, we put Rice in the shop window and begged Arsenal to come and take him. He’d have left anyway but that’s the message we sent out after our greatest achievement in my lifetime.
We’ve been in dire straits before, we’ve been in the Championship, pain and suffering is no stranger to us. But this definitely feels different. This felt preventable. We gave up our whole soul, identity, integrity and values to end up back here again 15 years on. Yeah we won a trophy, but none of us are West Ham fans for the glory, that’s for sure.
What will be, will be, if only we were going to Coventry. I’ll still be there. I’ll still pour my heart and soul into the club and not even get 0.000001% in return but it’s a toxic life sentence. Maybe it’s a new, new dawn. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards, but with how the club is run, I feel like I’m a dreamer. I have zero confidence in them fucking criminals.
That was an obscene line up and performance from Villa but we’re in the bottom 3 because we deserve to be and have turned leads into draws and draws into defeats all season. We’ve lead in 19 league games this season and won 9, dropping 22pts. All on us.

To my few followers on here, the Fort Worth Irons supporters club is still in the works. Only issue being, I don’t know where to start in finding fellow hammers as social media hasn’t seemed to have been the place to look unfortunately… Any tips or support would be appreciated!
There are so many downright lies across this video from Karren Brady. This is why West Ham fans have been so quick to celebrate her departure from their club, she sold them a dream which wasn’t delivered.
