I wrote this back in May, but was advised to not say anything until legal matters settled. Please give it a read.

@superange128 I never hid it because I was socially slow, so I didn’t understand that anime was made fun of/marginalized for a while. Luckily never experienced any ill effects from it, though. Can’t say the same for some other nerds I used to know. *cracks knuckles*
I don’t see the real answer being discussed: that pre-boom anime fans largely hated and mocked AniTubers. Old guard folks like to pretend it isn’t so now that know-nothing normies are uploading trash with Mr. Beast thumbnails.
A snobby attitude toward an already dumped on hobby.
How often do clips from YouTubers we actually like go viral? It's got to be a little demoralizing for passionate creators to constantly see superficial content farmers go viral while their hard work gets ignored, and the entire anime YouTube community gets denigrated as a result.
@G0ffThew Thanks, this makes way more sense. Still seems like a muddy endeavor to try and discern intent/sincerity from a given channel, but now I realize there are practical reasons for it, not just posturing.
@G0ffThew Somewhat related but maybe you can help me learn something.
When I find out a YouTuber doesn’t write their own stuff, it usually means an instant unsub. I mean, it’s not even really *their* content.
Why is it so commonplace? I’m afraid I might be misunderstanding this practice.
@haydensbakery Nice to see someone speak on this. Another vitriolic sentiment I’ve bumped into is that many newer fans hate AniTube because they don’t like their anime hobby getting more popular. Haven’t seen this tier of gatekeeping elsewhere.
Hello.
It's almost been 10 years since UNDERTALE released.
Now, I'm looking for your memories.
Let's turn back together.
Face the flower and speak.

@lord_ashura Boruto has always struggled to justify its existence, but Sasuke using Sharingan on dinosaurs is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
@stephenweirdy8 All I see from this dolt is dumb blanket statement after dumb blanket statement. Hue hue hue le Redditors, hue hue hue Orb enjoyers. Must be nice to see everything with such simplicity
@TheRedTwinBlade People really want me to watch Bleach lately. Once I finish the vid I’m working on, I’ll sit down with it.
I currently believe Tite Kubo to be a hack who harnessed the strength of the shounen formula to make his mediocre series appear better than it is. Let’s see if this stands!
Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
8/10
Its prevailing message is as crucial now as ever – a time when secular sovereignty is under real stress.
However, its torch-passing and truth-seeking are super on the nose – to the point of drowning in its own sentimentality at times. 🧵
Orb may not be the best to ever play the game with religious subject matter, but it notably IS one of the best to focus on it foremost.
I’d say that lands it comfortably among its predecessors within that realm.
Cool historical anime, do recommend. Get Orbpilled. Badeni a best.
Orb is evidently the anime people were hoping To Your Eternity would be.
It executes the “entrust heliocentrism to the future” stuff in an actually fulfilling way by using Good At Being Human characters it’s PROUD of instead of tired and annoying Learning To Be Human characters.
