There is no such thing as a woman Pastor/Elder. You can’t have your kids at a church that is teaching heretical things unless you want your kids to end up the same way. If you as an adult want to stay and fight I think that’s noble but completely agree with the woman.

Also I grew up in a giant homeschool family and I’m the oldest of 9 kids. We have friends that are Mennonite, Presbyterian, Baptist, Church of Christ and Pentecostal. My families 4th of Julys are around 150-200 people and we always have a pastor preach with all the variety of denominations present so I do agree we shouldn’t be breaking fellowship with fellow Christians over small things but it is difficult to find a solution.

How do you solve the issue practically though? I’m a young earth credo baptist that has a believe in soteriology similar to Leighton Flowers. I also strongly prefer traditional hymns in worship over modern contemporary music but I don’t think it’s a sin issue just a preference. I go to a Baptist church right now but have gone to Bible churches in the past. I know you feel different on some of these issues so how do we have go to the same local body? I agree I think God originally intended for all of us who are saved to worship together but also think it would be hard for some people.

In the Bible Elijah mocks false gods. It is completely biblical to mock false gods.

“And they took the bull that was given them, and they prepared it and called upon the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no one answered. God doesn’t look kindly on false gods and in the Bible they are mocked ?

I don’t think using Lazarus as an example of deterministic salvation is accurate. Lazarus was Jesus friend before he died so he probably believed in Jesus already. Also Jesus performed the miracle and mentioned that his goal was that people would see the miracle and believe that Jesus was sent from God the father.

“Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth.
