i think when you’re transitioning from being a people pleaser to someone with more boundaries it’s so weird, because it’s hard to tell if you’re being mean or if you’re just listening to your own feelings because you’re so used to only thinking about others
I think we underestimate how important it is to choose a partner whose lifestyle is compatible with yours. Love matters, attraction matters, chemistry matters. But eventually you’re sharing mornings, weekends, money, habits, families, stress, health, responsibilities and thousands of ordinary decisions. You’re not only choosing a person. You’re choosing a way of living.
You can't gaslight a skilled communicator with strong pattern recognition, intuition and discernment. You can't convince them they're the problem when you can't even hold space for an uncomfortable conversation because you're too self-absorbed to face yourself.
One thing I cannot tolerate at this big grown age is someone who acts like cause and effect doesn’t exist. Yes, your actions caused this outcome, so why are you standing there shocked and playing the victim.
girls.... pleaseeeee pick the gentle one. the kind one. the one who brings you peace. the protective one. the one who is sure of you. the one who respects you. the one who understands your silence.
I avoid eggshell relationships, like u can’t express yourself, can’t be yourself, can’t ever be straight forward, can’t be comfortable, can’t talk like adults, can’t be heard, can’t respond with love without it turning into something negative…keep that !
I’m not perfect, and I’ll never act like I am. I’ve made mistakes, handled things wrong, and had moments I could’ve moved better. But one thing about me, my intentions are always pure. I don’t go around trying to use people, play with them, or do anyone wrong. I may not always get everything right, but my heart is always genuine.
People with hidden animosity will wait until the most odd moments to reveal that they don’t like you, and they love to have an audience when they attempt to “humble” you. They usually hope that others share their sentiments so they can feel justified in being a weirdo.
Know yourself, and never depend on the validation of anyone. People can love you on Sunday and hate your guts the very next day. Trust your discernment.
the BEST thing i’ve learnt so far this year, is how to still enjoy my life during my storms. as long as we have life, we will have problems. my entire world can be in chaos & i’ll still try to find a reason to laugh and smile.
Every woman needs a season where nobody knows what she’s doing. Not her ex. Not her friends. Not social media. Just her, God, and the plan. Some blessings grow better in silence, and everybody don’t deserve access to the version of you that’s still being built.
