The management of the University of South Africa (Unisa), together with its academic and epistemic communities, extends its sincere condolences to the Adams family, @BafanaBafana, @Masandawana, teammates, coaches, supporters and the broader South African sporting community on the untimely passing of Jayden Adams.
We hold his family especially close in our thoughts as they navigate this profound loss, so soon after the passing of his beloved grandmother. May they find strength, comfort and peace in the support of those around them during this difficult time.
At just 25 years old, Jayden represented the promise of South African football. He will be remembered not only for his talent on the field, but also for his commitment, humility and the inspiration he gave to many young people who looked to him with hope and admiration.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
