#LFT#VALORANT
If you're an aspiring #valorant player, here are some non-negotiables for if you're serious about going pro.
1. Stop team hopping.
If you're in T3 and making a new LFT post every other month because your last team lost a game, You need to wake up. Stop looking outward and begin looking inward to: ''how come every team you join doesn't do well''. You need to build/develop yourself, sure if you have a better opportunity take it, but don't just leave your current team because they lost a couple games. Try your best to find 4-5 like minded players who are willing to work/develop and stick with it for at least 4 months or a full split.
2. Being higher Elo.
I'm sure you've heard ''your rank doesn't matter'' or ''just because someone's a higher rank doesn't mean they are better'' and a lot of this is true, however there is a reason how almost every single pro t1 player hit around 800rr before they went pro. Even the players who you mock for being mechanically bad like Boostio have, in fact Boostio hit 1000rr. If you're a higher Elo you are in harder lobbies with a lot more pro players, meaning opportunities to make connections and maybe even learn something from Boo, when he's tilted and spitting some facts, who knows.
3. Aim training/Deathmatch
This is an FPS game, at the end of the day which ever team shoots the other team first, ultimately decides who wins that round. And don't give me that ''well XYZ in T1 doesn't aim train and he's in T1 so that means I don't either'' because that's just cope. It doesn't matter where you are or what your kovaaks/aimlabs high score is, you can always be better and/or more consistent.
4. Take time out of your day to learn.
The amount of times I've known players to just play ranked, maybe warmup and expect to go pro is honestly worrying. You know that 6h a day screen-time average you have on your phone right now (check it, I honestly might not even be far off) Imagine you used half of it to work on developing yourself. VOD review a pro game (if you don't know how to VOD review a simple way is just pretend you are the IGL try make the decisions based on what you see and see what they do and whether you were right or wrong and figure out why they did that and if maybe your call was better) You can always take time to aimtrain/watch vods/learn setups or line-ups/Listen to Spiketalk even. And if you genuinely cant, then do your best to make the time.
5. Be obsessed.
Obsession beats talent. Do you think Lebron before he was in the NBA, just went to practice and then went home, read a comic book, watched Looney Toons and went to sleep? No. He was in the gym working out, or getting shots up. First in and last to leave. The bare minimum isn't enough. Stop comparing yourself to others/peers. ''Oh Charlie leaves practice and then goes to play Minecraft and he's 1000rr and has t2 offers.'' Forget about ''Charlie''. Focus on you, ask yourself ''was I better then yesterday'' if not, then why the fuck not? What's stopping you? Do you really want this, do you really want to go pro, or do you just like the idea of it? Because this shit is hard, the amount of time you have to put into things, how unstable the job is. It looks nice and cozy at the top from where you might be standing but the trek upwards is a pain in the ass. Is this really what you want? Because you've got to want to be the best, not just good or average or better then him or her, the best!
If your answer when you look in the mirror is ''no'' then that's perfectly fine, if you want to just improve and get better as past time because you like VALORANT that's cool, nothings wrong with that. But if your answer is ''yes'' then get to work mother fucker, ain't nobody gonna do it for you.
If I should actually start posting content like this on X, just let me know, as I just sort of impulsively spewed this together just now.
