Some say immortality is a curse. I look at it as a way to experience life to the fullest. Your life is what you make it. [OC RP 21+] #ForeverRP

@OfWaterBorn {Releasing her hand, he scoots across the seat and climbs out, turning to help her}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn In anger. {A faint smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, a knowing look in his eye}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn I completely understand. I can assure you, however, that I have never laid a finger on a woman in my entire life. {Taking her hand, he once again lifts it to his lips and places the gentlest of kisses on it}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Then give me a second chance. I really do want to help you. {He tentatively reaches a hand out to her, his tone both apologetic and pleading}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn I couldn’t let you do that. For several reasons, chief among them the fact that you’re wearing only a bathrobe. Then there’s the little matter of your criminal history. {He turns towards her, the sincerity written on his face, his eyes sparkling with unshed tears}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn {Setting his other hand on the seat between them, he continues watching the night slip by, wondering if he made a mistake}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn {Resting his elbow on the edge of the window, he props his chin on his hand and stares out into the night}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn I wouldn’t dream of it. {His head is still hung, his voice barely more than a whisper}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn {Seeing her reaction, his face instantly softens and he removes his hand from the headrest, dropping it into his lap along with his other} I’m sorry. That was uncalled for. {His voice is quiet, his tone wholly apologetic}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn {His jaw tightens and he whirls to face her, a mask of anger darkening his features} You think I don’t know that?! Do you have any idea, any inkling, of how painful it is to live with this?! {His hand grips the headrest of the seat, his fingers digging into the supple leather}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn It’s kind of a learning curve. {Taking a deep breath, he tries to keep his voice even}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Then I would suggest doing your best not to die. {Sliding in next to her, he shuts the door and signals to the driver to head home}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Alright. I haven’t quite figured that one out but I think it might have something to do with being reborn. {He opens the back door of the car and helps her in}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn That’s the only thing I haven’t been able to figure out. And I’ve had a /lot/ of time to think. {Wrapping an arm around her shoulders, he guides her back to the waiting car}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn I heard that. {Grinning, he stands on the bank, holding up a towel with a fresh bathrobe hanging over his arm}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Yeah. That was my thought too. {He sighs, rolling his eyes as he watches her crumple to the ground. Moments later, she disappears and he heads back downstairs to alert the driver}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn What it boils down to is that you’re now immortal. I can give you a demonstration if you’d like. {Reaching inside his jacket, he pulls a small revolver from a hidden shoulder holster, cocking the hammer back}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn -legs, resting his arms on the armrests as he watches her face}

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Well, to answer your first two questions, you did actually die but someone or something out there saw fit to give you a second chance. I know about this because the same thing happened to me. I fit into this because I help people like us with the....transition. {He crosses his-

[Braxton Parker @I_WasTheFirst]

@OfWaterBorn Fine. {Giving her an over exaggerated sigh, he rolls his eyes and takes a seat in a nearby armchair} So. Ask me.
