@R_eq_uin This is why I almost give up for better Nigeria not because I don't want it to better, but because haven't seen any sign that Nigeria will be a great nation. Until democracy is abandoned in Nigeria there might never be a better Nigeria.
I know some Nigerians will come under this post and make all kinds of comments, so let me explain the punishment for murder under Sharia law.
According to Sharia law, anyone who intentionally kills another person will face the death penalty, subject to the legal process and the judgment of the court. Therefore, if a terrorist's case is handled by a Sharia court and the person is found guilty, that person must be k!!lled.
In Nigeria, however, some surrendered terrorists have gone through rehabilitation and reintegration programs instead of receiving the harshest punishments.
This is why I often disagree with some Christians when I say that Russia and China have, in some ways, used measures that resemble aspects of Sharia law to punish terrorists.
If Tinubu can help us and say all cases of terrorism should be attended to by Shariah courts.
No bandits or terrorists will have more than 2 court sittings, and in 1 year banditry will be finished!
Put tribalism aside and fight against injustice if you truly want a life of comfort, prosperity, and well-being in this country.
But if you place tribal loyalty above religion and principles, then there is no doubt that you will continue to suffer hardship and oppression.
You're wrong, very wrong. You don't understand neocolonialism.
The colonizers may have left Africa, but before they did, they imposed systems of government that allow them to continue extracting resources from the continent.
Patrice Lumumba, Muammar Gaddafi, and many other African leaders were eliminated or removed from power because they tried to ensure that Africa's resources would benefit Africans.
One fateful day at Basel- Switzerland in 2010 we were out for dinner on a ship and I was in queue to get my food and behind me was a British white Caucasian man who asked me which country I was from and I told him Nigeria.
He asked me about the ethnoreligous crisis in Jos and I told him what I knew
And he said to me that he was sent to investigate the Jos crisis and he told me how guns were smuggled into Jos
I was in shock about the details he gave me then
Lastly he looked at me and said
" WE- THE UK , ARE THE CAUSE OF YOUR PROBLEMS IN NIGERIA "
let me end my comment here
@David_Onazi@DanielRegha That's the reality of Nigeria that most of Nigerians didn't understand, the British and America can't afford to allow Nigeria to develop, any crisis in Nigeria they're the ones fueling it.
This is the reality, illiteracy is at the root of many of Nigeria's problems. Politics in Nigeria is often run by people who are either poorly educated or accused of using forged certificates.
Imagine that a primary school dropout is now a candidate for the House of Assembly in my local government under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Why are educated and exposed people not successful in Nigerian politics?
Simple answer: envy.
Nigerians do not like highly educated people with courage and original ideas. Try running for office and see how the masses would hate you.
People would prefer a politician who looks and sounds uneducated and looks like a local person with local ideas.
If your clothes look too shiny, the people will hate you for being too clean and expensive.
If your English is too polished, the people will hate you for being too western.
If your ideas are too original, the people will feel threatened for talking about what they don't know.
With this mindset, half baked politicians, those with forged degrees, and those who lack transformative ideas would continue to keep Nigeria under developed for a very long time.
Those who have billions but pretend to be poor will continue to scam us.
That's our political reality!
