@DrDhruvchauhan I too do tuitions for Chemistry but never had such poor mentality of telling any bullshit/ crap tostudents in class. I think he forgot that teachers have should "not discourage students". My Bad my Bad. I forgot. He is just another doc trying to earn money blabbering anything 😂
@Cyberdost I don't know what's the slowest thing on planet but I can clearly see why India is seen as a hub of Cyber Crime cause you all fail to prevent it. Its more than 2months and yet you just failed to do a Simple task. Shame! #cybercrime@PIBHomeAffairs@narendramodi
This is Professor B.M.Hegde.
He is (was) a Cardiologist and Professor of Medicine.
He is the biggest threat to India's scientific temper and medical science.
He was the Vice Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education from 1999 to 2003.
He is also the winner of the Padma Bushan (2010) and Padma Vibhushan (2021) - the 3rd and 2nd highest civilian awards given by Government of India.
Towards the fag end of his career, he realized that being scientific does not bring followers, engagement, limelight or money.
So, in a complete U-turn, he began one of the first steps that culminated into the current war on science in India, that promoted pseudosciences like Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Quantam Healing which started disrupting scientific temper of Indian public, because his videos are (even now) among most widely shared disinfoarmations in social media in India.
He is a cancer on Indian medical science and scientific temper.
He won the second award for doing just that - for demonizing scientific practices and promoting and sympathizing with traditional, unscientific and primitive culture/ faith/ religion-based healthcare practices with hyper-Nationalistic appeal - such as Ayurveda.
No other person/organization in India (not even Ayush Ministry) has harmed medical science and science-based practices in India like B M Hegde.
In this video, as always, he makes extraordinary claims without extraordinary evidence.
Coconut oil and breast milk are not the same.
They are not the only things that contain sodium monolauric acid.
Sodium monolauric acid is not the basis of human immune system.
In fact: Sodium monolaurate is a pharmacologically inactive substance and is used as a cleansing agent, surfactant, and emulsifying agent.
https://t.co/udgjPoWbSF
Sodium monolauric acid does not directly become ketones - medium chain triglycerides in coconut oil do, by their direct intake into liver and conversion to ketones for rapid energy source.
Coconut oil has never been/approved or recommended a treatment for Alzheimer's disease in USA
In fact: Coconut oil may actually be detrimental to people with Alzheimer's disease.
https://t.co/dJFlcCGmWk
The Harvard University never made any claims to suggest that because we demonized coconut oil, millions of people died around the world.
In fact: Harvard recommends replacing saturated fats such as coconut oil, with other safer and more beneficial forms of oils.
https://t.co/lXAPigvOgq
Now some facts about coconut oil use from latest scientific studies:
"Coconut oil consumption results in significantly higher LDL-cholesterol (bad) than nontropical vegetable oils." https://t.co/ErKUidvOu8
"Strategies to advise the public on the consumption of other oils, not coconut oil, due to proven cardiometabolic benefits should be implemented."
https://t.co/yAXpIyjnOt
"Our results suggest that coconut oil consumption results in significantly higher TC, LDL-C and HDL-C than other oils. Consumption of coconut oil can be one of the risk factors for CVDs in South Asians."
https://t.co/Y9G8I36HIO
"Even though coconut oil has relatively high MCT concentration, the clinical benefits of commercial MCT oils cannot be generalized to coconut oil. Until the long-term effects of coconut oil on cardiovascular health are clearly established, coconut oil should be considered as a saturated fat and its consumption should not exceed the USDA's daily recommendation (less than 10% of total calorie intake)."

Please dont listen to, or share videos that feature B M Hedge. Ever. He will diminish your intelligence and convert you into a shell of your human existence akin to a blob of cellular mass without neuronal cohesion, as he has become now, with his senile takes on what he believes is, was, or could be, science.
Do you know that during dialysis, blood is removed from the body through the red tube, passed through the dialysis machine, and then reintroduced into the body system through the blue tube.
This process is repeated for four hours while the patient remains immobile in bed.
The procedure is carried out three times a week, which results in twelve times a month, and each time it takes four hours, which results in a total of forty-eight hours a month.
For those not affected, this process of flushing your kidneys occurs automatically 36 times every day with zero effort or discomfort.
While you are reading this, quit alcohol, quit processed foods, quit junky fries , quit unnecessary use of sugar and importantly hit the gym. All these are easier and cheaper options to keep your kidneys and liver fit.
Always be grateful for good health ❤️
@shubham_a_jha NMC now looks like nothing but a fool organisation making some impractical decisions which they ultimately have to take back when Ministry intervenes. I hope NMCs further decisions are taken after proper consultation with experianced people who genuinely know about healthcare.

Saw a discussion between a doctor and feminists on #MedTwitter on
1. Whether multiple sex partners has negative physical / psychological effects
2. whether the supporter of such a lifestyle can be judged by the doctor.
Let’s take it one by one
1. Are there any physical risks even with the use of condom ?
Yes. Syphilis, Herpes and HPV can spread even through non genital skin contact. So it’s possible to use a condom and still get a STD. The risk is hard to quantify in a given sexual encounter- since one can’t discount then possibility that both partners could be having multiple sex partners.
2. Can there be psychological effects ?
This is an interesting topic. Does promiscuity cause poor pair bonding ? It’s hard to establish causality because we can’t do a randomised controlled trial and ask some people to be promiscuous and others to be monogamous. So we can only have observations. And we get correlation, not causation. Premarital promiscuity is correlated with poor pair bonding outcomes ( divorce, short relationships).
Therefore even though we can’t establish causal link, the original claim by someone in that thread that multiple premarital relationships provide an edge for a long and healthy marital life goes against observed outcomes.
You can read more here
https://t.co/Bv4jFyaHsB
3. Can a doctor judge someone ?
Yes. Because the one he judges is NOT his patient. No doctor patient relationship exists between them. Besides judging is a cognitive right. Outlawing that is batting for punishment of thought crimes. If you don’t like the idea that others shouldn’t have a say in who you sleep with, they will claim you have no say in what they think.
4. Most important question - should we judge other people?
The 3 questions above are fact based. This one is an opinion.
Answer: it’s not advisable. Just because one can do something doesn’t mean one should. Also what we say is one thing, how we say is another. In this day and age of SM, it’s best to walk away from those who disagree.
A young doctor would be better served by focusing his energies on cephalic questions, not phallic ones.
Then again, this is just my opinion.
Title: The NMC's Latest Ruling: Potential Harms Outweigh Benefits of Exclusive Generic Medicine Prescriptions
1/ 🏥🚫 The NMC's new rule prescribing only generic medicines might have unintended consequences. Let's delve deeper into why this approach could pose harm to patients, going beyond just the issue of affordability. #MedicinePrescription #PatientSafety
#medtwitterindia
2/ 📊 Complex Medical Conditions: Some patients require precise dosing and specific formulations due to their unique medical profiles. Exclusive generic prescriptions may not cater to these intricate needs. #PrecisionMedicine #IndividualizedTreatment
#MedxIndia
3/ 💊 Therapeutic Equivalence: Not all generics are created equal. Variations in bioequivalence among different generic versions of a drug could impact patient response and treatment outcomes. #BioequivalenceVariability #MedicineEffectiveness
#NEET
4/ 🧪 Specialized Formulations: Patients with allergies, sensitivities, or other conditions may require specialized drug formulations that generic medicines may not provide. This ruling might deprive them of essential treatments. #SpecializedMedications #PatientNeeds
#BanNEET
5/ ⚠️ Potential Drug Interactions: Generic substitutions without careful consideration of potential drug interactions could lead to unintended health complications for patients who are on multiple medications. #DrugInteractions #PatientSafety #Generic
6/ 📚 Lack of Long-term Studies: Branded medicines often have extensive long-term safety and efficacy data. Exclusive generic prescribing might deprive patients of the reassurance that comes from years of research. #LongTermSafety #ClinicalData
@NMC_IND #ortho
7/ 🌐 Global Acceptance: For patients who travel internationally, relying solely on generics could pose challenges in terms of drug availability and acceptance in other countries. #GlobalHealthcare #MedicationAccess
#Doctors #obgy #medico
8/ 💡 Balancing Affordability and Quality: While the goal of cost-effective healthcare is commendable, patient well-being shouldn't be compromised. Striking a balance between affordability and quality is crucial. #AffordableHealthcare #PatientWellBeing #surgery
9/ 🏥🔒 A Holistic Approach: Rather than a one-size-fits-all rule, a personalized approach to prescription decisions, considering both brand and generic options, ensures patient safety, effectiveness, and overall health. #PersonalizedMedicine #PatientCentricCare #medicine
10/ 🌟 Let's advocate for patient-centered decisions in healthcare. While affordability is important, patient safety and well-being should remain at the forefront of prescribing practices. #PatientFirst #HealthcareAdvocacy

God knows what #NMC is upto. Every other day forming a new Tuglaqi rules and regulations to abide by. Someone should even review the decisions taken by @NMC_IND. @mansukhmandviya@narendramodi
Punishing doctors or advising doctors, how should we treat the highly educated strata in the country? Idea of punishment is pushing brain drain #MedTwitter authorities need to collaborate with Doctors and let them lead healthcare !
What a Great Person 🙏💐
Ethics in public life!!
In 2014, a company called
'Saubhagya Wet Grinder' was a sponsor in some event where
Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam was the chief guest.
The sponsor presented a gift to him which he respectfully declined to accept. The sponsor explained that it was just a grinder and requested him to accept. He took the gift without any further argument.
Next day, APJ sent his person to the market to find out price of grinder. He later made out a cheque from his personal account of market price and sent it across to company.
As expected company decided not to deposit cheque.
The story does not end here. He followed up with his bank and when due deduction did not happen in time, he informed company to deposit cheque or else he would be constrained to send grinder back.
Seeing his resolve, the company deposited cheque but made a photocopy of same and framed it and kept it on display.
This is the picture of that cheque.
