@ARISEtv This oga is just being clever by half. Tinubu is APC and APC is Tinubu. Their is no APC without him so if opposition focus on him, its simply because he is the APC achilese hill. Can Tinubu even debate either Atiku or Obi?
You are not all the same. The line is clear cut.
This is a very interesting conversation. Time is the most valuable resource in the universe, and you need to spend quality time with your family. The thing is, your family also needs you to be functional and earn enough money to take care of them. It is a huge dilemma.
I did the same doubling-of-rates thing to get my time back, and immediately after I got some breathing space last year, an extended-family health emergency got me scrambling back into gigs that took my time again.
I'm spending time on projects I thought I would never do again. I now do strategy work for companies and people smaller than those I worked with before.
One thing I have learned is to make sure I carry my family along. My son was helping me book meetings before he went to school. When my daughter was 8 years old, she used to look at my Google Calendar, see when I didn't have meetings, and book playtime with me.
I now understand why some very successful people turn their businesses into family businesses: it is the only way they can share time with their family. A mentor shared his food service business with his children and their spouses, and they all run it together. My wife’s aunt has her two kids in there with her 6 days a week, running her trading business.
Maybe if I start this fish thing that I have been postponing, I will make it a family thing. Consulting and selling my time has taken a toll on everything else. I don't even have enough time to turn it into products or paid content that I don't have to deliver by myself. 2027 will be very different, with higher consulting rates. Time gets more valuable as you grow older.
I listened to something that stopped me cold this week. It was something like - people think every day is a day added to their life but each day is another day subtracted from what is left of our lives. By that logic, each minute you spend gets more expensive as you have fewer left.
A student at NW Missouri State recently asked me: "Why is my 'queer' behavior considered wrong?" Culture tells us that morality is based on feelings, but true love requires truth. Here’s how I answered her live on campus 👇
Here’s a wise young #Ethiopian man speaking out about the current regional instability that #Ethiopia is facing. I wholeheartedly agree with his reasoning and assessment of the current government’s entangled involvement in #Sudan.

“We are going to disgrace Anambra state governor; not only him, including all South East Governors so that tinubu will know that they don’t have any capacity here in the east.
tinubu will not have up to 100 votes in Anambra; reason because Soludo, his family and staff will vote for tinubu….”

A Black Woman Said, “I Won’t Assimilate.” Australia Lost Its Mind.
Nothing says “civilized society” quite like triggering a national crisis because a Black woman refuses to erase her own heritage on stolen land.
Nyadol Nyuon said she had no intention of assimilating, and somehow that became more offensive than the colonial history that made assimilation such a loaded demand in the first place.
She contributes to society. She has built a life there. But apparently, that is still not enough unless she also performs gratitude by becoming less visibly African. Funny how “multiculturalism” starts sounding a lot like “be yourself, but only in ways that make caucasians comfortable.”
As a Nigerian, if this doesn’t open your eyes, then vex and provoke you, nothing else will!
If little Burkina Faso can build a Gold Refinery from scratch to finish in 3 years with 19 Million Dollars, Nigeria can build 147 of such with the money Tinubu has wasted in fixing our non functioning Refineries. (2.9 BILLION DOLLARS)
TINUBU IS INCOMPETENT AND HAS NO EXCUSE!
TINUBU MUST GO
@Femi_OfMainland The argument quietly made and not made here is that unbridled giving is tantamount to a leaking pocket. For those whose income is gradual, & they are many, the more they kept with themselves and accumulated the faster they got out of poverty. Its not an argument against giving.
She Left NYC Big Tech to Sell African Sand? 😳
This “sand” is chromite ore and it’s the reason we have stainless steel, iPhones, and elevators today.
Southern Africa has 70% of it. We sell it at $200/tonne FOB and they sell it back at $5000.
What do you think 🤔
I didn’t fully understand the concept of mortgages vs Rent until I invited a financial advisor to my home while living in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
Growing up in Nigeria 🇳🇬, all I knew was that my parents would take loans year after year to gradually build their house. That was my understanding of homeownership. I wasn’t really educated on how mortgages worked or how buying a home could compare financially with renting.
So one day, I invited a Dutch financial advisor to our home.
My wife and I welcomed him into our living room, and we started discussing our financial situation.
He asked several questions about our income, expenses, savings, and even requested some supporting documents.
Then he proceeded to educate us on how we could build wealth through homeownership.
He introduced me to a website called Funda, where we could search for properties within our budget.
I started searching for houses, and when we eventually found one we liked, he ran the numbers and calculated what our monthly mortgage payment would look like.
To our surprise, the monthly mortgage payment was LOWER than what we were paying in rent! 😭😂
I was like, wait ooo, so we could actually own a house and pay less monthly than what we’re paying someone else’s landlord? 😂😂
But there was one challenge!
We couldn’t find anything affordable in the city where we were renting.
However, we eventually found a perfect home about 30 minutes away.
That meant I would have to give up my daily bicycle rides to work and start commuting instead. 😂
Thankfully, my employer covered public transportation costs from anywhere in the Netherlands to the office.
So basically, I could commute to work for FREE! 😂
That solved the problem!
We proceeded with the mortgage application, got approved, and eventually moved into our own home! 🏡🇳🇱
And here’s the interesting part:
Throughout the time we owned that house, our monthly housing payments never reached what we had previously been paying in rent!
We even had MORE SPACE than we did in our rented apartment!
Of course, buying a home comes with other costs and responsibilities, and it isn’t automatically the better financial decision for everyone.
But in our own case, it turned out to be a very good decision.
Now, let me tell you the most interesting part of this story. 😭
When we eventually decided to relocate to the United States 🇺🇸, we realized that we had actually built up equity in our Dutch home!
Something we wouldn’t have accumulated through rent payments if we had continued renting.
We eventually sold the property, and the equity we had built became a major part of the down payment for our first home in America! 🇺🇸🏡
Imagine that! A house we bought in the Netherlands helped us become homeowners in the United States.
That’s when I truly appreciated what that Dutch financial advisor had taught us in our living room.
One lesson I learned is that sometimes, getting an affordable home means being willing to live a little farther from your workplace, especially when you’re working with a limited budget.
And sometimes, all you need is someone who understands the financial system to sit you down and explain the opportunities available to you.
Financial education is really important!
