Yes there was pushback from some but when he first converted, most were happy and willing to help

He could study the religion at the feet of the scholars if he wished

Tate and I have been Muslim for almost the same length of time, and whilst I’m not perfect and Allah knows how I struggle with sin, I at least know the fundamentals of Islam

Besides, when he was in jail he claimed to have read the Quran, and yet he made violation after violation, error after error, blunder after blunder, so how well can he have read It?

He started insulting, blocking and unfollowing Muslims who advised him, his arrogance and the yes men around him blinding him to his own faults and mistakes

And for him to go from saying “f*** Israel” to the nonsense he’s been saying recently about his Israeli tech teams etc has been a self imposed humiliation ceremony whereby he and his brother have demonstrated in abundance that they’re happy to compromise on their values and contradict themselves time and time again

Then there’s the anti-Islam rhetoric he peddled when riots kicked off in the UK and when he wrongfully said Muslims committed the attacks in Germany

I don’t regret supporting/defending him at the beginning because I genuinely did want him to become a success story and a contemporary example of someone with a large platform who massively improves after embracing Islam. I advised him privately where I could and defended him when warranted

Now he’s sat there laughing and joking with his brother about the situation in the Middle East, posting dancing videos of him in Dubai, as if the Muslim world isn’t in absolute chaos and as if it isn’t Muslims who are going to bear the brunt of this violence

The enemies of Islam are circling around us like vultures and this guy thinks it’s a joke

For all his wealth and accolades, he is the greatest of losers in this life because he lost the most valuable thing of all - his faith.

How ironic it is that when he started speaking about Islam he said he admired it because Muslims don’t compromise on their values, and yet he has done nothing these past months but compromise on his
