PIB issued a grand "clarification" to deny the AG called E20 an experiment. Guess they forgot Supreme Court proceedings are recorded now.

First they keep the actual research on engine wear under wraps, now they try to gaslight us on public court records. While the percentage of adulteration in petrol keeps increasing, the ethanol policy transparency remains at 0%.

In short: The govt lied.

Paid lifetime Road Tax up to 2039 for an E10 vehicle, but the pumps only sell E20?

From a common man's Activa to a luxury Mercedes, millions of vehicles across all strata of society face voided warranties and potential damages. Yet ministers claim "no risk." Do they know more about engineering than the makers who wrote "Up to E10 Only" in the manuals?

आज E20 और E85 जैसे नए ईंधन आ रहे हैं, लेकिन हर गाड़ी इनको सपोर्ट नहीं करती। अगर किसी वाहन में सही ईंधन नहीं डाला गया तो परफॉर्मेंस और इंजन पर असर पड़ सकता है।
इसलिए पेट्रोल पंप पर तीनों विकल्प उपलब्ध होने चाहिए:
⛽ Normal Petrol – जिन गाड़ियों के लिए यह सही है
⛽ E20 Petrol – जो वाहन इसे सपोर्ट करते हैं
⛽ E85 Fuel – जो वाहन इसके लिए बने हैं
और इनकी कीमत भी अलग-अलग और साफ तरीके से तय होनी चाहिए, ताकि ग्राहक अपनी गाड़ी, जरूरत और बजट के हिसाब से चुनाव कर सके।
देश में बदलाव जरूरी है, लेकिन बदलाव ऐसा हो जिसमें ग्राहक की आज़ादी, सुरक्षा और सुविधा का ध्यान रखा जाए।
किसी भी वाहन मालिक पर एक ही विकल्प लेने का दबाव नहीं होना चाहिए। 🙏

The owner of this red car has a question for Mr. Nitin Gadkari.

He bought the car in 2019, and the car's manual clearly says that only E5 or E10 petrol should be used.

However, from April, E20 petrol has been introduced by the government.

So his question is: If his car is not designed for E20 fuel, where should he get suitable petrol, and who will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by this change?

मैंने 6 जून को दिल्ली में E85 वैगन आर की उपलब्धता और उससे जुड़े पेट्रोल पंपों के बारे में जानकारी के लिए मारुति सुजुकी के कम्युनिकेशन डिपार्टमेंट को लिखा था। लेकिन कंपनी ने आज तक कोई जवाब नहीं दिया है। मुझे उम्मीद है कि कंपनी मेरे सवालों का जवाब देगी और भारत में फ्लेक्स-फ्यूल कारों की सही जानकारी और E85 पेट्रोल पंपों की उपलब्धता के बारे में लोगों को बताएगी।

Deceptive headline. All petrol available in India is adulterated with ethanol, e20 being the standard (as declared on paper). The excise duty waiver has only been announced for petrol with over 22% adulteration with ethanol.
Over 80% petrol vehicles in India are not compatible with anything above e10. This madness to add more and more ethanol is just an attack on the finances of the vehicle owners.

Media headlines like these are trying to whitewash a blatant scam going on right in front of our eyes.

The lack of transparency in a so-called "democracy" is appalling.
@PetroleumMin now disposes my RTI appeal that they've fulfilled my request by forwarding my query to different agencies. WOW. And to top it off, the ministry points back to the same roadmap document in which @siamindia clearly says that e20 in older vehicles is a safety risk in addition to being detrimental to efficiency. The document clearly says that e10 should be available till the existing fleet is aged out.
And yet e20 has been forced on the entire population based on some imaginary test results.
If this isn't a SCAM, I don't know what is.
