The incident has been reviewed, and we have no concerns over the officer's actions and we are satisfied that they were reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances.
We would ask that footage is not further shared to allow the legal process to take its course.
Plus, the constitution is a living document, which has had lots of amendments and is deigned for humans, not machines. Different founding fathers and presidents had different interpretations of it, in regards to many issues. The underlying idea is that it's a government by the people and for the people, which is bound to make it follow the will of the people.
@JVandeerso15109@NewDealLover1@idksmgdh@TMTLongShort If I give a test to my students, and I set no cameras in the classroom, I leave all the books open, and I leave the classroom until the end of the test, sure, it can't be proven that they cheated, so there's no problem and nothing should be changed for next time.
@idksmgdh@JVandeerso15109@NewDealLover1@TMTLongShort We just need to get some simple common sense voter ID (that indicates citizenship) and no universal mail-in ballots (people can get exceptions but not universal). That's all.
@idksmgdh@JVandeerso15109@NewDealLover1@TMTLongShort I would've fired them too, they've overseen a catastrophe and done nothing about it, furthermore, they encouraged it. It's not a serious democracy when people can vote with gym memberships... give me a break
@JVandeerso15109@idksmgdh@TMTLongShort The key is not to be able to prove it, that's the problem. We want elections that can be properly audited. Right now, with no IDs (gym memberships and such), and universal USPS mail-in ballots it's impossible.
There are ballot harvesters who look for the number of votes that they need, and they pay many of the 10ths of thousands of homeless of LA and San Fran to sign. If he said that, I still support voter ID and in person voting with exceptions (like every sane country) to make this sort of cheating impossible.
@JVandeerso15109@NewDealLover1@idksmgdh@TMTLongShort The number of mail-in ballots has gone from a relatively small percentage pre Covid to universal post covid with great potential for fraud. Massive change. It would be negligent not to pass some legislation to make it fraud-proof.
Dude, there is no other place that does elevations like this because it is made to make fraud almost impossible to prove. Not even Australia (which has the weakest voter laws), they still require state ID on the mail in ballots. The current system allows for "legal" ballot harvesting. Many reports of homeless being paid 5 bucks to sign a vote for the welfare provider Dems. This is a recipe for the collapse of democracy.
I think 5 months is enough time to require some simple photo ID. Also, in general, having over 100 million votes going through USPS and being piled up who knows where is a recipe for disaster. It needs to be in person, unless you ask for an exception due to travel or whatever, which will be easily given.
@JVandeerso15109@idksmgdh@TMTLongShort That's why I said it's a historically familiar conundrum, similar to the nationalist vs communist one of the 1930s. Communism is definitely the wrong choice, but nationalism must not seek to forcibly invade others.
