@golgariguy @FaTBartleby 2. Mana Crypt might resemble Sol Ring, but the difference is you can't run 2 Sol Rings in a deck, which is a massive advantage. Unless you are replacing your 1 Ring w/ 1 Crypt, this is not a fair comparison. Also 0 really is infinitely less than 1 mana in many cases. 2/2

1. You can't deal commander damage via spells/abilities, which is a huge difference from poison. There are now many cards that deal each player a poison, as well as proliferate, w/o attacking. 1/2

@SaffronOlive I remember people went hard on this with the RC back in the early days after Infect became a thing, demanding it be changed to 20, and RC took a hard stance multiple times. Toxic looks much weaker than Infect.

@GavinVerhey Funny because this literally shouldn't be any of like the first 5 keywords that come to mind for it to be truly "medium". I think *Battle Cry* would be my pick, perfectly fine, good in limited, potentially strong in constructed when stacked, but just very linear and one-note.

@maro254 How far do you think is too far to go in terms of torturing a mechanic until it's considered playable. Regarding all the different iterations of attractions that you described in your article and the ever increasing complexity through each iteration to make them work.

@LordsofLimited 4 drafts into DMU so far. Noticed I mostly am losing to mana flood and it's happening a lot. A lot of the kicker effects just don't offset drawing 3 lands in a row. Gain 3, make a 1/1, bounce. Bleh.
What cards can help dig out of flooding? Loving that scryland.
