@Ur_Nightmare07@Hemjayoh@aproko_doctor Now this your emotion speaking. Clinically, hydroquinone used under medical supervision DOESNβT DAMAGE YOUR SKIN NEITHER WILL IT GIVR U CANCER!
It is used in treatment of melasma and stubborn dark spots.
@Ur_Nightmare07@Hemjayoh@aproko_doctor hope you know over production of melanocytes causes cancer??
It wasnβt banned in these countries, but their use was restricted to prescription use only. Science doesnβt care about ur emotions, but deals with facts. There are so many agent that also suppress production of melanin
@Ur_Nightmare07@Hemjayoh@aproko_doctor Hydroquinone reduces the production of new melanin, but it does not completely eliminate melanin from your skin when used appropriately.
People on it are advised to always use Sunscreen.
There is no single study that suggest it causes cancer.
@Ur_Nightmare07@Hemjayoh@aproko_doctor Hydroquinone hasnβt been proven to cause cancer. The only major it carries is Exogenous Ochronosis that causes blue-black skin discoloration.
Hence why itβs a pharmaceutical grade api in some topical formulations.
It just has bad PR.
@Hemjayoh@aproko_doctor Mecury is entirely bad for ur system not only the skin, hydroquinone on the other hand isnβt as terrible as itβs being painted, yes itβs a potent steroid, but even some dermatologist will recommend it for severe hyperpigmentation.
It becomes bad wen used without an indication.
