@LWaunfawr@WelshRugbyUnion The smiling / grinning / laughing (however you want to label it) during the game by Dave Reddin is not acceptable. We once led the world and now we are a laughing stock. Resignations must happen tonight.
❤️🌹 Today, our school came together to honour those who have served and sacrificed. We observed a two-minute silence and were moved by heartfelt performances and songs from two of our talented students. We welcomed members of our school community. #LestWeForget#RemembranceDay
@SeneddWaste There are approximately 10,000 asylum seekers/refugees in Wales (0.4% of population). 6.9% of our population were born abroad and 23% born in England. We have bigger problems in Wales including the fact that 28% of working aged people don’t work and 22% are over age of 65.
@20NPHartleyHare We also have the highest % of people aged over 65 in UK and highest % of working aged people who don’t work. Might help explain why our NHS is crumbling.
@20NPHartleyHare A quick check shows there are approximately 10,000 asylum seekers / refugees in Wales (0.4% of population). There were 248,000 social houses. I think our bigger problem is not illegal migration but the fact that 28% of working aged people don’t work and 22% are over age of 65.
@SeneddWaste Scrapping this scheme will not change anything relating to asylum seekers / immigration in Wales. The Senedd has no power over immigration so any promises made by the political parties to limit immigration will not be upheld.
A fantastic day for our students and their families as they celebrated their individual successes and collectively our best set of GCSE results @SuthersSchool https://t.co/8tiWJZI5fi
@LlyrPowell No Welsh political party has the power to make any decisions regarding immigration in Wales. Those decisions sit with Westminster. Voting in the Senedd elections based on what a party says they’ll do about immigration in Wales is a wasted vote.
@WillHayCardiff Watch Simon Reeves BBC programme on Scandinavia and see what’s possible for a small country. I’m not yet convinced but the more I see small nations in Europe having a higher standard of living than us the more I think Wales, could be better off independent.
@Jenny_1884 I’m a teacher and I have to wait until I’m 68 for my full pension. The pensions are now linked to the state retirement age. The earliest public sector can take reduced pensions is 57.
Thanks to Jenna Brandon and her apprentices from @FordSlaterDAF (Newark) for delivering an inspiring Engineering workshop to our Year 9 girls from @SuthersSchool.
@capaled Rather than blindly saying I’ll vote for this party or that party we should scrutinise the manifestos of each political party to see exactly what they plan to do for our country. By doing this we can ensure accountability and hold them to account.
Here is an update on our journey..
⛴️ Managed to get an earlier ferry. So we are on the 12pm.
