Al diseñar políticas públicas, es importante tener en cuenta los posibles efectos no deseados de medidas bien intencionadas. Algunos ejemplos del sector educativo en este breve hilo:🧵👇
It will always be astonishing for me the sit in @UN forums and listen to a representatives of the Palestinian authority justify the #October7massacre .
Backed by the disgraceful silence of @UNICEF, @UN_Women, and many other organizations, the Palestinians are in a fact denying frenzy.
In our past, the #Jewish people have already faced genocidal, fact denying adversaries.
People who call for #Genocide in one language, and deny it in another.
People who rejoice at the death of innocent #Israelis in one moment, and deny that these deaths even occurred in the next.
This time, there is someone here to speak for those Jews and Israelis.

When I was young, in graduate school, I believed that people were rational and that rationality was closely tied to self-interest. Surely, knowing what was true and what was not true would make you happier and give you a better life. People, I believed, might make mistakes, 1/
It’s not just seeing suffering that's painful. It’s hurting for others while feeling unable to help.
There’s a term for that helplessness: empathic distress. Over time, it leads to burnout and withdrawal.
If you're overwhelmed and exhausted by a heavy heart, you are not alone.
These are the names of the 1,400+ victims brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists one month ago today.
Some of the victims have still not been identified.
Remember their names.
#Oct7Massacre
A month ago, at this hour, I had to tell my two daughters - 3.5 years old and 20 months old - that they must remain completely silent. No word, no cry.
It was 7AM, they had just woken up in a dark room with no electricity or food, and five people were shouting outside the window.
A heartbreaking video from October 7. As Hamas shot at them, Israeli police ran to save two young children trapped in a car. Their mother was dead in the front seat.
The 5-year-old, fearful it is terrorists approaching, begs for her life. When she realizes they are Israeli, she tells them she is with her baby sister.
It's almost four weeks since the horrific terrorist attack on #Israel. A lot has happened, the public debate has become heated and confused. Find thoughts from Vice-Chancellor Robert #Habeck in the video, putting the events in context. 📣With English, Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.
Back 120 years ago, the Russian Empire gave birth to the word "pogrom", when the mob hunts for Jewish people. Today, in a provincial city of Makhachkala in Southern Russia, the mob hunts for Jewish people. It always ends in pogroms, regardless of the century.
It's possible to at the same time
-condemn Hamas
-stand against antisemitism
-stand against islamophobia
-support Israel's right to exist
-oppose Israel's policies
-feel solidarity with Palestinian victims
-feel solidarity with Israeli victims
Why is this hard to understand?
