@Evercurious1992 @vettrikondan786 In the 1930s, Tamils 15% , demanded 50% legislative power-sharing, even though Sinhalese were 75%. The British rejected it as undemocratic for a minority to have veto power over the majority. After the rejection, Tamils began to engage in racism against the Sinhalese.

Sri Lanka has granted approval for an Iranian vessel IRINS Bushehr to dock at Trincomalee Harbour, with passengers to be evacuated and transferred to Colombo before the vessel proceeds to Trincomalee.

I have always said that it was the 2015 government of Pres Sirisena and PM Ranil that caused the economic catastrophe in Sri Lanka, not Gotabaya. Gota had to deal with the blunders of the Yahapalana government. It's good to see that the NPP leader finally accepts this.
