But I spent my yesterday afternoon with Rock Island County Regional Office of Education Regional Superintendent Tammy L Muerhoff and Regional Assistant Superintendent Jacob Smithers as they recognized their “Teachers of the Month”. We went to several schools and surprised the teachers while working! Cool right!? LoL

How do I come in!? Well Jacob and I decided to choose 3 schools at random me for to make a special treat for the teachers alongside their award and swag! Kaitlyn Yakish or Mrs.Y was super excited!

Happy Sunday
On April 10th President Biden officially proclaimed April 11th through April 17, 2023, as Black Maternal Health Week to raise awareness. I have always felt that we should have serious talks centered around the highs and lows about gestation and postpartum. There are so many statistics, diets, books, and people that qualified to help families during this special transition.

On Real Conversations-QC I sat down with state trained and certified Doula, Kyla Ganaway for an enlightened conversation. We shared sweet tea and chocolate cake and spoke for nearly an hour. She and I got into Doulas, food, and how do Doulas help with the plague of the maternal mortality rate.
