Your friend’s man should believe in his soul that you, in any event would zip tie him to a banister and beat him with a dead wet trout if he crossed her. Like no matter how friendly you are with him he should know you are all the way on her side.
We’ve gotten some really good Black films from Black filmmakers like Exhibiting Forgiveness or All Dirt Road Taste of Salt or Earth Mama that have fallen victim to small release and distribution. It’s a double edge sword.
The happiest filmmakers I know aren't chasing investments from financiers.
They are making the movie they can make right now within their current means.
Although we have listeners from around the world, we want to shout out our US base after a tough week.
Hold each other close. Lean on your community. Support each other.
Remember your superpower, you are an artist. Express your emotions through your art any chance you get.
