Is it time to short $AAL $DAL $UAL ??? As of November 11, 2025, more than 7,900 U.S. flights have been reported canceled since the FAA began mandating reductions on November 7 due to staffing shortages caused by the ongoing government shutdown that started on October 1.

This does not account for tens of thousands of additional delays attributed to the same issues.

These numbers may continue to rise as the day progresses, and residual effects could persist even if the shutdown ends soon.
