Kakan Maiyo kushtakiwa
Mfanyabiashara alikamatwa na polisi akiwa kazini
Anatuhumiwa kukosoa serikali na nguvu za polisi
Familia yake inataka polisi wamuachilie jamaa yao
Anatarajiwa kufikishwa mahakamani kesho Ijumaa

UPDATE:
Muthaiga Police Station was being used as a holding place by the DCI to detain Kakan Maiyo, a businessman arrested for criticising the government. His lawyers were informed that he would be taken to Kahawa Law Courts.
However, going by how the DCI had been operating, they were not sure when, which court, or what time he would be arraigned. Some counsels were stationed at Kahawa Law Courts on standby in case he was taken there and they are still there.
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) was updated on the case and is considering filing a habeas corpus application tomorrow morning.

Re: SHIF - it gets worse.
1. The new SHIF does not cover Antenatal Care (ANC) hospital visits. Itabidi you go back to being screened by TBAs (Traditional Birth Attendants) juu your President has a PhD in Miti Shamba (Plant Ecology).
2. In males, prostrate cancer screening will only be covered to males aged over 55yrs, whereas colon cancer screening will only be covered in males aged more than 40yrs.
3. In women, screening for cervical cancer will only be covered to those aged between 30 and 50yrs. Age capping is a drawback to early diagnosis of cervical cancer which kills at least nine women everyday in the country. The disease manifests itself in younger women.
4. The Fund will also pay Sh935 (nine hundred and thirty five) for consultation and dispensing of eyeglasses, with a limit of Sh1,000 (one thousand) per household, a service which is limited to beneficiaries below 18yrs.
5. Mortuary - The scope under end of life services include preparation and storage of a body in a mortuary, a service the cover will pay Sh500 per day, capped at five days.
6. In patient - Tariff for medical inpatient services is capped at between Sh3,500 to Sh5,000 at Level 4,5, and 6 hospitals respectively. However, this shall be limited to up to 50 (fifty) days per household annually. Take note of the word, PER HOUSEHOLD.
And you people still say you have a country.
The journey is to relearn how to feel safe expressing our emotions, having a space that'll allow us to go deep within and not have to worry what others will think, because this is the prison we've been in.
I hope you'll find spaces that allow you to feel

Day 2 of the Conference organized by @NCCKSouthRift@NCCKKenya@USAID and from the group presentations on Baringo county, the presenter brought to our attention that there's no university in Baringo. This is shocking.

Attending the peace conference organized by @NCCKKenya@SPUKenya Nakuru
The National Facilitator Vincent carefully broke down how our pain and hurt within our tribes comes fron the independence era. Truly those who dont understand history are bound to repeat it.

"You have to save yourself from so many good-intentioned people,
do-gooders, who are constantly advising you to be this, to be that…They don´t mean any harm — but harm is what happens. You just listen to your own heart…your own intuition is your only teacher."
