• Enjoying the little routines you used to take for granted

A portfolio cannot have unlimited stocks. The key skill today is not selection but rejection.

When information is so abundant and analysis is dime a dozen (thanks Claude!), the real skill is to learn what to ignore. Quick filtering becomes the key.

This is where building constraints help. If i am reading a concall and the mgmt talks about revenue growth of less than 20% - i generally stop right there.

Someone else may have a different threshold or a different set of parameters.

Can we miss some opportunities - ofcourse. But the clarity that this will bring to your process, your decisions and the impact on overall portfolio returns cannot be overstated.
