@jdflynn I have served in 2 ordinations and both have left me in awe of priesthood. As a YM I advocate for vocations…and I firmly believe being an altar server started this.
@jdflynn I think you’re great. I always appreciate your take and comments. Genuinely curious, why only altar boys? People don’t come at me…I am a YM and have been for 20 years. I believe my calling as a YM and a Catholic who loves the Eucharist comes from being a server.
God’s promises for you are in process. Right now. Even in circumstances you can’t see any evidence of good yet.
Remember, “not yet” doesn’t mean “not ever.”
Keep holding on, friend. God isn’t done with your story.
Often we're quick to remember others’ hurtful words but slow to remember God’s healing words.
Let's set our minds on things above by choosing to remember God’s words, repeat God’s words, and believe God’s words about us.
We must let God’s Word become the words of our story.
Let the sweet gift of sleep be yours tonight. God is good at being God.
He is protecting you, working things out, and making good plans for you. Whisper a prayer of trust and obedience and then let the rest go.
He’s got you. He loves you. ❤️
@KatiePMcGrady It's not simple. I have a car and an income. I also do not need permission to have a sweet. As a child, I had no car, no income and had to ask to have candy/sweets. I would argue it's MUCH harder as adults.
As a person of faith I find it alarming to see the amount of division, aggression and lack of charity among so many people claiming to be people of faith. Let’s start at the beginning: they will know we are disciples of Jesus by our love. (Jn 13:35).
Anything can happen in an individual game, so you can never take too much away from one baseball game.
But at this moment, I'm thinking about how this game is completely meaningless for the Brewers, and it means everything to the Cubs.
I recently heard of a parish that does not give the Sacraments to families that don’t attend Mass.
There’s a lot of reasons why I don’t like this, but it can be summarized as this: the Sacraments impart real grace for conversion. They’re not completion certificates.
@BeardedBlevins I laugh when I get mad/think something is ridiculous. With that being said, I am not a Rapinoe fan. Maybe she was really laughing, but maybe she laughs like I do in frustration.
