The Disturbing Reports from Osun State University
I have read with deep concern the troubling reports of soldiers invading students’ hostels at Osun State University, Osogbo, during which students were allegedly assaulted, humiliated, dispossessed of their personal belongings, and female students subjected to degrading treatment, including rape.
Every Nigerian deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Our Armed Forces are renowned for their courage, discipline, and sacrifice in defending our nation. They are not known for such barbarity against the very citizens they are sworn to protect.
I therefore urge the military high command to conduct a thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation into these allegations. Anyone found culpable should be brought to justice. Holding offending personnel accountable will not only ensure justice for the victims but also preserve the honour and integrity of our Armed Forces while serving as a deterrent against future abuses.
A nation that respects human dignity builds confidence in its institutions. We must never tolerate impunity or the abuse of power.

Voter Registration: The First Step in the Journey to a New Nigeria
Yesterday, while passing through Waru Wazobia in Abuja, I made a chance stop to interact with our people. I seized the opportunity to encourage them, especially our youths and women, to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The power to change Nigeria does not begin on Election Day; it begins with voter registration. Registering to vote is not just a civic responsibility; it is an investment in the future we all desire.
I urge every eligible Nigerian who has not yet registered to do so without delay. Those who already have their voter cards should encourage their family members, friends, neighbours, and colleagues to register as well.
A new Nigeria will not happen through wishful thinking. It will be built by citizens who participate, who believe, and who act. Let us continue to choose hope over despair, participation over apathy, and nation-building over division.

Refuting dumb arguments against physical games🚀
🗣️“85% of players buy digital”
✅15% or even 5% in this industry is still millions of people bringing in hundreds of millions of not billions o revenue
🗣️“Netflix and Spotify ended movie and music Blu-Rays and CDs”
✅Movies are still being sold on Blu-Ray and 4K UHD Blu-Rays, and music is still released on CDs, vinyl records and even collectible cassette tapes that actually work, despite being far smaller and less demanding than video games which can go over 100GB
🗣️“I haven’t bought a physical game for 10 years! It’s obsolete”
✅Your experience with games does not automatically reflect everyone else’s. If you don’t care, don’t get in the way
🗣️“It’s expensive to make games on disc”
✅Games won’t be cheaper when man all digital. You will pay the same price for a glorified rental that can be taken any time due to licensing agreements or account loss/suspension
🗣️“You’re too broke, you want to buy second hand and resell games”
✅Being a bootlicker to corporations that don’t know you exist, does not make you any less broke than those you accuse and posture in front of behind a keyboard
Physical games should always be an option. Video games are far more than just a file to download or “access” to gain. They hold sentimental value to players and collectors.
Raise your voices, players, game makers, gaming and memorabilia stores. Let us overturn this predatory decision!
Video games are an art form, not just a business and the value players hold for them should be honored and not reduced to a code to redeem and a download to revoke😎
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
PlayStation is ending production of physical game discs for all new games, starting January 2028.
From that date, new games will be available in digital formats only.

How to pick a project worth pursuing:
1. Interest: do you think about it in your free time and bring it up in random conversations?
2. Importance: if we understood it, would the world be a better place?
3. Contribution: do you have something novel to add?
