1- The US IS NOT taking over Greenland nor will it have a say in what Greenland and Denmark do. GREENLAND BELONGS TO THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK.

2- The US ALREADY HAS a permanent presence on Greenland, we’ve already have a strong presence there, we’re only expanding that presrnce, we’re bringing more troops.

3- US or NATO rivas have NEVER had military bases on Greenlsnd, this won’t change. This is more of a validation.

4- Saying “FOREVER” “WITH NO END” is too absolute . Terms like that are hardly a part of any deal. Again this does not grant the US ownership of Denmark, so Trump can’t establish forever deals unless Greenland and the Denmark decide so.

In conclusion, this is basically reinforcing already established operations in the region, because the U.S. already has extensive rights and a base there. The announced agreement appears to go beyond simply maintaining the status quo by providing for an expanded U.S. military presence and additional restrictions on adversaries and sensitive investments.
