Once a medic in a white coat, now a guide for future changemakers.
He topped two of India’s toughest exams — first conquering the medical entrance test, then cracking the UPSC Civil Services Examination with AIR 297 in 2022.
But instead of walking the familiar bureaucratic path, he chose the road less taken — turning from aspirant to mentor, from IRS recruit to coach of the next generation.
Born in Haryana and an MBBS graduate from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, Dr Shivin Chaudhary realised early that his heart lay not in hospital wards but in ideas, society, and guiding people.
He began sharing his UPSC journey under the alias Anonymous UPSC Aspirant, posting honest clips while preparing himself. Then came the breakthrough — he cracked UPSC but declined the Indian Revenue Service post, saying his satisfaction lay in teaching, not bureaucracy.
With that bold pivot, he founded Sarrthi IAS, creating a trusted space for aspirants. By 2024, he had guided over 150 UPSC rankers.
Today, his channel Clarity for UPSC by Dr Shivin has become a go-to for authentic mentorship and strategy.
In a world chasing titles and posts, he chose purpose over prestige.
