@saumil@Ticketmaster Thank you for engaging in the discussion and gaining a consumer perspective. I do think that if you adopted a flat rate fee structure capped at 10% profits may increase in the long run.
@saumil@Ticketmaster I do agree. The issue is within the industry itself which is a different discussion. I prefer ticketmaster because I find their prices to be lower however, I should not be able to attend a concert overseas (air, hotel and ticket) for the same cost of a resell ticket in the US.
@saumil@Ticketmaster There is something to be said about the motivation of the seller as well. When I sell my NFL season tickets, I sell them at cost. I dont need to make a profit. Most do. Capping ticket prices like they do in Europe would prevent price gouging which would cut into profits for all
@saumil@Ticketmaster My original issue was the astronomical cost of resell tickets & service fees. In my ex, the service fee for the two seats would be approximately $2800. A lower priced seat. same fee percentage. Now my question is why is the fee 15-20% and wouldnt 3% be better for the consumer?
@saumil@Ticketmaster I think Ticketmaster falls short when they allow the reselling of a ticket at a such a significant cost over face value. The reason is in the fees. Every transaction incurs a fee which ticketmaster splits. The higher the ticket price, the more in fees you receive
@saumil@Ticketmaster I read it. Thank You for sharing, Cap One Arena, Sec 111 Row CC is $9k. Duke v St Johns. The original price of that ticket is not 9k.
@saumil@Ticketmaster I would like to speak about resell tickets. I am trying to attend the Duke St Johns game at Cap One Arena. I would like to attend but I cant aford tickets that have been marked up 1000% with fees at 20% of the purchase price. Can u fix that broken problem? I could DM suggestions
