(Lower) tier 2 Max Branning impersonator; knows what he likes, likes what he knows. Family, friends, music and NUFC, views are mine, including the odd good one.
Does losing Bruno show ambition for a club like NUFC.
Does it make a football statement to the world that we are still ambitious?
Does it say we wont be pushed around?
Does it say success is on its way?
Or does it say we know our place?
The cherry-picking of Newcastle’s key assets over the last couple of years, Isak, Tonali and now seemingly Bruno as well reinforces the feeling that ambition will always be trumped by history.
You can’t blame Newcastle fans if they wonder what the point of it all is.
🧵 🤬 A VERY LONG ANGRY READ:
Regardless of your stance on Bruno or Howe....this situation has been caused purely by our Owners and for various reasons.
We hardly bought anyone of note who would improve the first team from 2023-2025.
Then when we did, we bought players unsuited to our style.
Howe should have been sacked by Xmas last year but he wasn't. They backed him. We finished 12th.
We've now lost Isak, Gordon, Tonali and probably Bruno.
5 years into the takeover they still haven't released any concrete information on the new training ground, let alone the new stadium.
We've gone through 3 Directors of Football and 2 CEOs....Amanda and Mehrdad were booted out despite being the driving force behind the project.
The ambition continues to be talked about but that's all it is, talk.
Our Owners are complicit in this stagnation of #NUFC and now we find ourselves back in 2021 needing a complete rebuild in order to fight relegation.
It's an absolute disgrace and they've got off far too lightly up to now.
Time to hold @PIF_en and @jamiereuben to account.
Some answers.
Some ambition.
Some updates.
Some signings.
Some progression.
Do something....anything....anything but this state we find ourselves in at present.
This is unacceptable and it needs addressing before we become a Championship club.
This Club will 100% be relegated if is continues to be operated with this level of ineptitude and negligence.
🚨MISSING (PLEASE HELP)🚨
Ross Wilson and David Hopkinson.
Last seen at Matfen Hall two months ago watching an hour long PowerPoint and calling it a day’s work.
Please report to @NUFC fans if you see them. Cheers.
#NUFC
@Toon_TaIk Purely the price offered; up it to £75m and I think we have to accept it and send him off with thanks and best wishes (reluctantly). However, Wilson needs to show some balls and align with Bruno to make sure the replacements are in BEFORE the move happens #mutualrespect.
If this is what Football consists of - losing your best players every single year - then what's the point?
Like genuinely, what is the actual point?
We have the richest owners in world football but can't spend to improve the squad without sales.
It's pathetic.

It’s why football will slowly die out.
You’ve got Villa and Newcastle absolutely huge clubs and arguably on a par with Spurs, playing in Europe regularly not able to spend, but Spurs can finish x2 17th and spend what they want.
Same with Man United.
Broken system
@FineArtAmerica - please can someone respond to
Support ticket ending 0613? Order placed 3+ weeks ago!!! 10+ support interactions and still no confirmed shipment date. No updates for two days despite polite but urgent requests - so now being “ghosted”.
@KieranMaguire Quality footie finance content, and now real life Kate Bush interaction content too? With this wonderfulness @KieranMaguire you truly spoil us. ❤️
@JohnSimpsonNews You missed off “and repeatedly get away with flagrant abuse of so called “Fair Play” rules with little more than a slap in the wrist; paying off two managers in three months to the tune of £30m+ whilst not a single Championship club can turn a profit”.
Cost of sacking Liam Rosenior: £24m
Cost of buying Sheffield Wednesday: £20m
When sacking a manager costs more than a club in the Championship, it's probably time to start addressing those financial oblivion questions in football.
@NCSL1892 Just the standard media #gaslighting- with his proof points he’s already a £100m player with an age where a sell on / buy back clause is totally justifiable
