“Are you joking”
“If I wasn’t on national TV, my language might be quite expressive”
“I’m so so so offended, I don’t have the words”
“You are a poor representation of the youth of this country”
😭 he was stressing them out
This Portugese midfield has to be my biggest disappointment of the entire World Cup... What do you mean Bruno, Vitinha and Neves are completely useless together? How can this happen? How are they so in-effective?
Is it tactics? Is it lazyness? Nerves? Who is to blame? 🇵🇹
Anyone disrespecting Cristiano Ronaldo isn't truly a football fan. It's time we gave him his flowers. You can be fans of both Ronaldo and Messi.
Nobody has ever worked harder, sacrificed more, or shown greater discipline than him in football history.
23 years of the best player the game has ever seen! 23 years of pure bliss, and of going against a fraudulent system and coming on top! Cristiano Dos Santos Alviero Ronaldo!
Cristiano RonalGOAT. 🐐
The greatest footballer to ever grace the game.
Thank you for the memories, the inspiration, and for making football even more beautiful.
The ex players who say things like “Ronaldo isn’t close to Messi”, it isn’t even about Messi, it’s more about their insecurity towards Ronaldo, they’re trying to paint the picture that Ronaldo isn’t far off from them. I need someone to ask Henry and Zlatan if they think Ronaldo is miles off from them and then the truth will begin to come out.

Your dad is not wrong. I even have written on it once.
Morocco shows up as MAR on scoreboards because FIFA's country codes do not always come from the English name.
A lot of them come from French, which is the working language FIFA has used since it was founded in Paris in 1904. Morocco in French is Le Maroc. First three letters: MAR.
And Morocco is not alone. This happens more than people realise.
Germany is GER, which tracks in English. But then you get to Ivory Coast, which shows up as CIV, from Côte d'Ivoire. Algeria is ALG from Algérie. Haiti is HAI from Haïti. Switzerland is SUI from Suisse. Spain is ESP from España. Iran appears as IRN.
The pattern runs across the entire scoreboards. Some countries are also coded based on whatever their language is.
FIFA built its codes in an era when French dominated international administration, and colonial history shaped which language a country's name was recorded in first.
That legacy is still sitting quietly on every scoreboard at this World Cup.
I hope you have learned something today.

I don't share stories like this often, but this one is worth your attention.
Meet Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo. First-Class graduate in Mathematics from UNILORIN, CGPA 4.76/5.0. This is no small feat, she put in so much to get here.
She earned a fully funded Master's scholarship in Mathematics at the University of Calabria, Italy. Tuition, accommodation, meals, and stipend all covered. This is the kind of opportunity that can change a family's story for good, for life.
She has already paid her enrollment fee. She used her tutoring savings and borrowed from friends to get this far.
What she needs now is €3,122 (about ₦4.9 million) to cover her visa, flight, document processing, and initial settlement in Italy. The scholarship does not cover this part, and without it, she cannot travel to start what she has already earned.
This is someone who did the work and is one step away from the finish line.
If you can support her, even a small amount helps.
If you cannot, a share costs nothing and might reach someone who can 🙏🏾
BIG NEWS FOR DESIGNERS: The UK now has a dedicated Global Talent Visa pathway for designers (effective 1 July 2026).
This means qualified designers can move to the UK without employer sponsorship or a job offer.
Here’s everything you need to know
1/ What is it?
The UK Global Talent Visa is a visa for highly skilled professionals with exceptional achievements or high potential in their field.
As of 1 July 2026, designers now have a dedicated pathway under the UK’s Arts & Culture Global Talent route.
2/ Who is eligible?
This pathway covers designers working in areas such as:
• Product Design
• UX Design
• UI Design
• Graphic Design
• Brand Design
• Industrial Design
• Service Design
• Digital Design
3/ Do I need a company to sponsor me?
No.
Unlike a Skilled Worker Visa, you do NOT need:
❌ Employer sponsorship
❌ A UK job offer
❌ A minimum salary threshold
4/ Can I freelance?
Yes.
You can:
✅ Work full-time
✅ Freelance
✅ Run your own business
✅ Consult independently
✅ Combine multiple income sources
5/ Can I bring my family?
Yes.
Your spouse/partner and children can apply as dependants.
6/ Is this a permanent visa?
No, but it provides a pathway to permanent residency.
• Exceptional Talent pathway → settlement after 3 years
• Exceptional Promise pathway → settlement after 5 years
7/ What’s the difference between Exceptional Talent and Exceptional Promise?
Exceptional Talent:
→ For established leaders with significant achievements and recognition.
Exceptional Promise:
→ For emerging leaders who show strong potential and growing recognition.
8/ What evidence do designers need?
Typically, applicants provide:
• A strong portfolio
• Recommendation letters
• Evidence of leadership
• Published work
• Awards or nominations
• Speaking engagements
• Educational contributions
• Industry recognition
• Case studies showing measurable impact
9/ Do I need to be famous?
No.
The goal isn’t celebrity status. The goal is demonstrating that your work has had meaningful impact and that you’re recognized by others in your industry.
10/ Who should consider this?
If you’re a designer who:
• Leads projects
• Builds products
• Creates design systems
• Teaches others
• Publishes content
• Speaks publicly
• Contributes to the design community
…this route may be worth exploring.
11/ Why is this important?
For many designers worldwide, this is one of the few immigration routes that offers:
✓ Freedom from employer sponsorship
✓ Flexibility to work independently
✓ A path to permanent residency
✓ Recognition based on professional achievement rather than salary

Like me now, with all my experience, I don’t know why Nigerians are not doing anything about these kidnapped school children.
I’m confused, is it that they’ve been released & that info is one of the things I don’t know?
Have we forgotten or people are too posh to talk about it?
