🚨 BREAKING: GINA HINOJOSA GIVES ELON MUSK UNTIL DECEMBER TO PAY ALL OUTSTANDING TAXES OWED IN TEXAS OR FACE SERIOUS LEGAL CONSEQUENCES. 🇺🇸
Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa has reportedly issued a December deadline to Elon Musk, demanding that Tesla and his other companies operating in Texas fully comply with applicable state tax obligations or face potential legal and regulatory action.
The development could open another major political confrontation between the Democrats and Republicans, particularly as Donald Trump and several Republican allies have maintained close political ties with Elon Musk.
Hinojosa, a Democrat, is making it clear that her incoming administration will not give special treatment to billionaires or major corporations. She reportedly wants Tesla and other Musk-owned businesses to meet their tax responsibilities rather than benefit from political connections.
The situation could further intensify the growing divide between Democrats and Republicans, with Trump’s relationship with Musk potentially becoming another talking point in the battle over corporate taxation, economic policy and political influence in Texas.
The controversy also raises questions about the future of Tesla’s operations in Texas, considering the company’s significant manufacturing presence in the state. Any proposed changes to corporate taxation could have implications for Tesla’s business plans, investment decisions and relationship with the incoming Democratic administration.
Meanwhile, Republicans close to Donald Trump could find themselves under pressure to respond, especially given Musk’s public support for Trump and his involvement in Republican political circles. Democrats, on the other hand, could use the controversy to reignite discussions about billionaire wealth, corporate accountability and whether major companies should receive preferential treatment.
With December approaching, all eyes would be on Elon Musk, Tesla, Donald Trump and the Republican leadership to see how they respond to the proposed ultimatum.
For everyone attacking my birth state of Mississippi, PLEASE understand the affidavit ballot process. Voters who need to cure ID-related issues have until Tuesday, November 10. Other affidavit ballots must be reviewed and verified by election officials. It’s normal to not understand the election process in every state, but look that it up before getting online and just posting shit.
As of this morning, Democrats have won 254 seats in the House and Republicans have won 162. There are 6 outstanding races where Democrats lead and 12 where Republicans lead, so if those results hold, Dems would have 260 and Republicans 174 (there are 435 House seats, so there’s 1 seat somewhere that’s not included in the New York Times data).
To put the Dems current 254 seat majority in perspective, the last time Republicans held 250 or more seats was 98 years ago in November of 1928. The Republican majority House was sworn into office in January 1929 . . . and America fell into the Great Depression eight months later in August 1929. The Great Depression didn’t end until March of 1933 when, thanks to Democrat Franklin Roosevelt and the Democratic controlled House and Senate, the New Deal was enacted, which stabilized the banking system and created jobs . . . and that’s how we got the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Can you imagine? You give Republicans control of Congress and people suffer economic hardship and then Democrats have to clean up the mess.
Quick story about @scott_colom. When we started working w/him, we had an intro "bio call." Mom, dad & wife Nadia were also all on (rare for these types of calls), & he spent 30 min talking about how he & Nadia met. "How you doin" in this vid captures it! https://t.co/glJcTejRD0
Scott Colom will win the race in Mississippi by 5,000 votes and that there is no path to victory for Republicans. (Confirmed by an on the ground credible source)
It’s over.
56 senate seats secured.
This is disgusting behavior!
