@shadelett Man, I really like your anatomy on this (and not in a gigidy gigidy way). She seems a lot more "human" in this than her more anime styled portrayals.
@zkurishi While I don't see any issue with buying a license as opposed to the actual game (This has been the case with basically all software since the 90s) I do think clearer advertising is in order. Perhaps requiring the specific terms be used, such as "lease" instead of buy is in order.
@EPAKIM1 My sentiments exactly. I'd have less of an issue with AI bros/enthusiasts if so many of them were not so hell bent on artistic stolen valor. It's like they relish destroying and trivializing the work and skill of actual artists.
@zkurishi Also, breaking up monopolies would be good. It appears that Sony controls most of the overseas anime market and I would love to have some alternatives to companies like CrunchyRoll, but the only options are pirate sites.
@zkurishi I would love to be able to support these products directly and cut out the middle man of localizers. Government programs are always iffy, but if they take a page out of Steams play book (Piracy is a service problem) and make good survives, I would be thrilled.
@StopKilingGames You are getting something, a lease to play.
I am 100% proper disclosures that you are leasing, not buying, but I am not ok with the government telling companies what they can and cannot make. If you don't like this business practice, don't spend money on it.
@animetv_jp Top three are Tanya 2, Love Unseen, and Smoking Behind the Supermarket.
Honorable mentions to Clevatess, Hinori-san still wants to fight, and I want to love you till your dying day.
@rahul No one is saying they aren't effective, but to paraphrase Ben Franklin "those who would trade their freedoms for a little safety will get, nor deserve, either"
@animeupdates I like shinkai's work but I am not a fan of Crunchyroll getting the rights. Crunchyroll has been doing a lot of damage to the western anime industry over the last couple years.
